Sort out the lockers.

I flew with Aer Lingus recently. I normally reserve my seat before each flight and I have to pay a fee for this. Generally I like to sit in the first two rows if I can. Anyone who flys with Aer Lingus will know that they allow passengers who are sitting at the back of the plane to board first. There is a problem with this though. Can't avoid the tax element.

I see that Aer Lingus are advertising their "summer sale" at the moment. They are advertising 20% off. It's only when you log on to their site you see how miserable this 20% is. The reduction is taken off the ticket price only but not the tax price. Quite often this saving works out at less than €3. The tax element of all flights leaving Dublin is €36. My friend and my self fly with Aer Lingus on a regular basis and we find they are the best airline around. Always on time, nice staff and always relaxing when travelling with them. Their prices are always competitive and they fly to many different destinations. Service on board is good and staff are always very professional and chatty and helpful. They fly into Heathrow which is handy, bit of a walk to the tube. Their prices are good and I would recommend this airline to all my friends.... Read more...

Bring your Prescription.

It's great to see that Aer Lingus have added two new destinations to their Dublin route from 2012. They have introduced flights to Stockholm in Sweden. The difference being that this airport in Sweden is the proper airport and not the Ryanair "miles away" airport. You will be able to get to your end destination quicker. Great service

Recently we flew to Orlando with our two little boys - 2 years and 6 months. I was dreading the flight - but it was a great experience. The staff were lovely and tried to help us and other parents throughout. The flight was at least 1 hour early arriving on both legs of the journey. This was a huge advantage. The prices were reasonable - but high enough - mainly due to the taxes and charges. I recommend booking as early as possible to avail of the cheapest fares.... Read more...

Great Service

I've flown with Aer Lingus on a number of occasions and while they are a little more expensive than rivals Ryanair, the service more than makes up for this however. I also love the fact that you can prebook your seats online for no extra charge - which means there's no stampede at the boarding get to get on the plane. The extra mile

I've flown Aer Lingus several times over the years as well as some "low cost airlines". Everytime Aer Lingus has come up trumps with the better service and more pleasant staff. More so in the last year since our new arrival. A number of times they have blocked off a full row even though we've only had 2 seats and junior on our lap. Worth the extra few quid

I have used Aer Lingus a few times, Ryanair only once and a different airplane company that has since liquidated. With Aer Lingus, the planes are on good shape, the seats are comfortable, there is some sort of leg room, the staff are usually friendly, or at least they have been every time I used it and there is no scrum for seats as you pre-book your seat, so you walk at a relaxed pace to your seats. Good and Bad.

On a return flight recently with Aer Lingus to France it was very noticeable the difference in the quality of the service between the Aer Lingus staff on the outward flight and the quality of the Aer Lingus staff on the inward flight. On the way out we were greeted and got a smile as we boarded the plane. On the way back the two female staff were standing with their backs to the boarding passengers talking to each other. I travelled recently with Aer Lingus and the service was excellent. The the staff were courteous and smiling and friendly. Passengers with seats at the back of the plane were allowed on first and then the passengers to the front were allowed on last, this was all done without any pushing or rushing and very civil. Flight got off on time and the flight was very comfortable and you could buy food on board, price wise not bad and food was fresh. Spotless plane and for the few euros more well worth... No room for my luggage.

I am shortly due to take a flight with Aer Lingus. I got the usual reminder of choosing and paying for my seat before flying. I know that you can turn up on the day and take pot luck with your choice of seat at check and for free but I have to say it eases the mind when you know exactly where you will be sitting before flying. The price for choosing a seat in the first six rows is €12 and for the rest of the plane €5 except for the emergency exit seats that cost an arm and a leg. When... Read more...

Nicer Airline

Given a choice I will chose Aer Lingus over Ryanair any day. Its worth the few quid extra. Although I find these days there is little or nothing in the difference anyway. Its nice to be assigned a seat on check in rather than a race to the plane. The staff are friendly and helpful and they always give priority to families which I think is great rather than having to pay for the privilege to board first.
