Nice place to pick up unique and individual bits and pieces. Nice stuff for the home and to wear. Bit pricey for home/clothing items but worth it. Food is delicious. Worth a visit.... Read more...

Recently home to Neven Maguire during his weekly RTÉ show with slightly po-faced lookers-on, this Avoca doesn't provide the scenic splendour of some of its other outposts, but is nonetheless a great place to visit if you're in the mood for that type of shopping spree. And of course, once you're inside you forget that it's plonked in the middle of a motorway. Definitely one to visit on the Avoca tour.... Read more...

I love this Avoca store. It's huge and the layout is fairly good, cleverly luring you to the bakery section with lovely-smelling bread. To say that this store is temptation witha capital 'T' is no understatement. There's a huge selection of goodies to buy to take home as well as the café upstairs. The food is pricey but all genuine good food. They also give you a wide choice of soft drinks including traditional style lemonades. I love the outdoor terrace for eating. I really think they... bring back frozen take away dinner specials

I've been going here for years now, and i do love going there and the food is great. But used to stock up on take away dinners and buy quite alot of them to have in the freezer as they used to have a deal on buy 1 get one half price or sometimes buy one get 1 free. But they scrapped that some time ago now and I've asked about it a few times, just to be told no they dont do it anymore. Love to see them bring them back, but dont go as often now as it works out too expensive to buy frozen dinners... Read more...

never had a bad experience here as it serves consistently tasty and well presented food .especially like their fish pie ,quiches,soup and delicious salads.always really busy in main restaurant but usually manage to get a seat.egg cafe is a bit calmer.like the take away section downstairs with self serve salad bar.great place to browse in the homeware section also fab clothes and cute old school toys.yes it is pricey but at the end of the day its quality.... this place serves the most delicious food. it is food like that your grandmother would make. it is so wholesome and you just know by the taste that it is made from the finest quality ingredients. I love their soups, scones, quiche etc. They do beautiful desserts also. the avoca shop is super too but everything is so expensive i always feel guilty buying stuff here. ... Read more...

Avoca is a great place for lunch. They always have a big variety of dishes and they serve these with salads which are so yummy. The place gets very busy at the weekends and a bit noisy, but you always get a seat as the place is huge. There is a lovely outdoor area too which is perfect on sunny days!... Read more...

love love the Egg resturatant. Lovely atmosphere and food it amazing and reasonable price. This is myself and mu girlfriends favourite place to meet. i absolutely LOVE the Avoca brand and the food here. Have been to Avoca in Kilmacanogue and the one in city centre also but this one is lovely and bright and spacious. The food is utterly gorgeous, I would never tire of it. The lunches are slightly expensive at €12.95 a go but really the portions are excellent and the food is so fresh, tasty and wholesome I think it is definitely worth it. I work in Citywest and one of the good things about working on this side of Dublin is being in such close proximity to the Avoca store and the Egg restaraunt. It's a great store to pick up lovely bits& pieces for the house or a gift for somebody. It's also a real treat to go to the restaraunt here with real classic items to choose from on the menu - make simple foods seem really classic... Read more...

Avoca in rathcoole is a lovely place for lunch. I especially love the Ham/Leek quiche with a choice of 3 side salads. The portions are great. I would nearly feed two people. The only slight issue is the price-tag at an expensive 12.95 for this lunch. The pastries/cakes from the bakery are amazing. Beautiful handmade cakes etc... Again they are expensive but portions and taste shadow out the cost. I highly recommend Avoca. They only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the high prices. ... Read more...
