Although the place may never be packed to the rafters, the clientele can sometimes be of an older variety and it generally offers a very quiet night out, it is a good spot to have just that. Perhaps its a weeknight or you need to be up early in the morning, whatever the reason, The Ballinteer House is a good option. In my Opinion the Food here is lovely its a little over prised but it is really nice, i have never drank here so i dont know much about the the people that drink here but the staff were ok not the very best just ok but its seems to me that its a real local local pub. will go back for some nice grub tho.... My opinion on this place has been vindicated this evening. I have always refused to go in here on the bases of the clientel...rough lot. However on driving to Superquinn, I drove around the back of Ballinteer house, only to see 3 little scumbags out having a smoke - 1 was pissing up against the back of the pub while his two mates watched. This is a you get what you pay for quite of place. Good decent food delivered in a no frills fashion. Its a good local with decent grub and good prices. It is warm and comfortable and OK so its not the Ritz, but its everything a local should be. Sometimes the service can be less than perfect but most times its grand.... Read more...

Poor for food

I have been here twice now and will definitely not frequent it again. The food was awful and the service was worse. The food staff serve you like you were not there. Not even a smile or a thank you. It was probably one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. Never again. Advise - fire the young girls serving your customers.... Read more...
