I think this website is very good. It is very large and can be hard to find a certain topic. There are so many categories to choose from. The one I use most is the bargains thread. People post about bargains they have found. I even bought a bed from a store recommended on this site. There is also Boards deals and there are forums dedicated to discussing these deals and asking questions about the deals.... Read more...

Joe "uman" Duffy thread.

Those of you who may listen to the Joe "hang on" "hang on" Duffy show daily may be aware that on Boards.ie there is a thread called The Liveline Mega Thread. This thread runs at the same time that Joe Duffy show is on. It is hilarious. Some of the peoples comments will have you rolling around laughing. Only really got set up there on boards before the summer, i stumbled on it purely by accident and it was a great find. its a awesome way to find information and reviews on everything you could every imagine. from asking about college courses to talking about nightclubs this place has it all. many fourms to choose from. ... I'm a regular, long time Boards.ie user and I absolutely love the place. It has a section for just about everything you can think of from Tax and State Benefits, to Bargain Alerts to more regional focused forums and the infamous After Hours where just about anything goes. I feel that Boards.ie has really enriched my life it's now my go to for advice or when I need suggestions and recommendations. Boards.ie is like a big Irish pot of info - a great for finding out about what's on in Ireland, Irish opinions, discussions on loads of subjects. For bargain hunters, it even has a section on bargains. The things I like about boards.ie the most are: that is is Irish-oriented and therefore more relevant than some other similar websites, it is there 24/7, great if you have a burning question at 1 a.m., there are loads of dicussion boards - the number has grown steadily over the years -... Well I have to say that I personally do happen to find this particular site,so informative and representative of the general public opinion which you will find amongst the general public which you will find in Dublin City.Whenever I do need an opinion on something I will always consult boards.ie to make the best informed decision that I can possibly make within the realms that I am confined to.I would recommend this site to the Irish public in general for staying informed.... Boards.ie is a treasure chest of information on ALL subjects and matters. I like the presentation of the website where forums are clearly marked by topic, making it really easy to navigate to the information you looking for. Its really handy for students of all ages both secondary students and 3rd level students enquiring about courses as the info posted is from people who can advise from personal experience. Handy for a place to start

This place is great if you want to start researching something, be it; martial arts, holidays, home, rental scheme etc. It's a helpful site if you know how to use it right. Unfortunately, as with all board sites, the inevitable rule dictates that the longer the conversation runs on, the stupider it gets. I love this little website, it gives you info about anything that you could possibly think of from holidays to coupons to cars to free stuff. There are thousands of members also so you should def get an answer to your question. Generally once i post a question on it i would have an answer in mins. Their Boardsdeals section is great also, lots of bargains to be found on that and if you subscribe they will send you out their daily offers every morning.... Read more...

I would visit boards daily. Usually to have a goo in the After Hours section but it varys everyday. Its great for info on pretty much everything from your first car to the cheapest place to buy beer. With boards your able to message people and thank an author for his/her post(You will find this mostly over-used in After Hours!). Bargain alerts is great and really lights up around christmas. Fantastic to have something so Irish.

One thing that I fault the internet with is that when you google something you nearly always gat an answer for the US or UK equivalent, but never something unique to Ireland. However, boards covers quite literally everything. It's fantastic to have something so extensive and so irish at your fingertips.
