Last reviewed this outlet 2 years ago, so time for an update. This is still the premier department store in D2-and have purchased some 'luxuries' as presents over the last while. The feeling is upmarket, staff are attentive and friendly without being deferential. Cosmetics area still superb- Clinique Bonus Time and other promotions are very worthwhile and save money. Maison Margiela added to the mens' fragrance range- very classy indeed. Nespresso outlet in household section also a nice... Read more...

I usually buy vouchers to Brown Thomas to my friends and family if any of them have a big birthday coming up. They always go down a treat! Everything in the shop is far to expensive for my budget, but still I love to torture myself by having a look round the shop. I especially love the handbag section which I could quite happily spend ages looking at dreaming about winning the lotto so that I could buy one or five of the handbags they stock!!... Read more...

brown thomas is my favourite place to browse through at christmas. the effort and style put into their window displays is second to none which really entices you into the shop. it is the one place to go for christmas presents that are different and elegant, if you want someone to know you put extra effort into a present. it is a little pricey though but good quality.... Brown Thomas is one of my favourite shops. It has a very classy and sophisticated feel to it - very upmarket. This is your one stop shop for all your designer needs from handbags to perfume, clothing and jewellery. Most of the big brand names are featured including Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, MAC, Dior, Bobbi Brown etc... There's a good selection on offer and lots of stands to peruse. Nice Christmas feel.

I generally don't shop that often in Brown Thomas mainly because I travel quite a bit and I can pick up similar items abroad for less cost. However there is something special about the store at Christmas, I love the trouble that the store goes to to make their shop nice for Christmas and for their customers. I picked up a Nespresso coffee machine here last year and I got it at a good price. The coffee refills are expensive. I was delighted to see that both the French and Spanish supermarkets... lovely bags

brown thomas is a good place to go window shopping and look at stuff you cant afford. i love going in and gawping at the lovely chanel bags and the chloe bags and so on. i buy make up here from time to time and the staff are very smiley and preened. the shop front is lovely and for the fashion festival they had a lovely little cafe outside but im not sure if its gone now. i love the way its decoarated at christmas time too...... Designer shop from top to toe

Brown Thomas is a designer shop with lovely window decoration . I spend hours outside looking at it :) If you are looking for something special or extravagant for a wedding or birthday , Brown Thomas is the place! Its full of brands and expensive things from down to top, the only negative thing are the people working there. Some are nice and trying to help , but most of them are very rude and looking at you like you less worth than them... i prefer to take a good friend along to help me shop... Read more...

good for browsing

This is a lovely place to browse. It feels very special with the fancy porter opening the door for you. Inside its lovely - it looks and feels good. However most of the products are beyond my budget and if there is something i like, i try to find it cheaper elsewhere. The home appliances section is one area where i feel it competes well with other shops - it does not seem any more expensive here. I do think the staff here are a bit snobby. Fancy Store

This store is located on Grafton st, the heart of the south city centre. The store is famous for its extravagant goods and designer labels from floor to ceiling. This department store offers clothing, cosmetics, perfumes accessories and soft furnishings. Its a wonderful place to browse but seldom buy except for cosmetics occasionally. Brands such as juicy couture, Prada, Dolce and Gabanna, Ralph lauren can all be found here. The assistants are glamorous and eager to assist you.... Read more...

I find that as much as I love Brown Thomas, they are more concerned about selling you something. more than helping you out. I went there last Christmas with my friend and I felt as though I was looked down upon which I didn't like. Putting all that aside though, Brown Thomas is a beautiful shop and has the most amazing products you will ever find. As a make-up lover, this would be one of my favourite shops. A very high class store with a lot of designer brand names and some top quality goods. It is never very crowded so shopping or just browsing is a very nice experience. They sell, bags, ladies and men's clothes, perfume, makeup, watches, bed linen, shoes, electrical goods, suitcases,pots and pans, coffee making machines,Waterford Crystal chandeliers and other beautiful goods, electric mixers for making cakes, ice cream makes cutlery and cups and saucers.
