GREAT, BEUTIFUL STUFF THAT WOULD MAKE YOU WANT TO SHOP TILL YOU DROP,BUT THEARES ONE PROBLEM THE CASH WEARE ALL IN A RECESION AND THAT SHOP IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, MORE FOR WEALTHY MILLIONAIRES, THEY SHOULD REALLY CUT THE PRICES, BUT TO BE FAIR THE PEOPLE WORKING THEARE ARE GREAT AND VERY HELPFUL AND THAT WOULD MAKE YOU WANT TO GO IN AGAIN AND AGAIN....... Nice store, staff leave a lot to be desired

Whilst the store is well laid out, very spacious and clean and is always well stocked with the latest items, I have found on more than one occasion that the staff can leave a lot to be desired. I have found them in the past to be sometimes unhelpful and they make you feel like you're wasting their time with a query - as opposed to making you feel like a valued customer. Landmark

Brown Thomas in Galway is a landmark building on the corner at the top of Shop Street - you can't miss it. They do the most beautiful festive displays in their windows coming up to Christmas. They have a lovely perfume and aftershave department, you can get the smell of them as soon as you go in the door. Elegant store but can be a little pricey!

My sister is in love with this store so this review will be coming from her. She loves the selection of clothes and perfume that's on offer. They have a large range of testers/samples for use and even allow you to trial makeup with their specialists. She said that the staff always have a smile on their face and are always happy to help. Brown Thomas is a very impossing building on the corner betweem Elington street and Shop Street. It is hard miss it and it is a building to be admired, quite beautiful. They sell a wide range of items here. The goods range from clothing to make up and perfume etc. The prices are expensive here, I feel. But the products are off a very high standard. I know people say its a small shop, but if you think back, it was an even smaller shop when AWear was on the Eglington Street part of it years ago. It carries all the big brands of make up and perfumes that you would expect to find in a branch of this shop. When they did'nt have the particular aftershave I wanted, the staff were quick to suggest places where I might find it. I love, love, love the smell of all the different perfumes I get when I go in here. It just smeels luxurious. All of the staff are very helpful and you can try out make up by bagging samples from the beauty counters before you purchase. Quality brands here, expensive, but you get what you pay for. Small & sweet

It is small, granted, but I like really like our version of BT. There are good variety of high end brands in stock. The staff are most helpful. Its bright, clean and always very tidy. It reminds me of a department store you would see in an old-fashioned Christmas movie. I always find it easy to find what you're searching for...for me its usually aftershave that I used only be able to get in America.. IT BRINGS A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA TO GALWAY SHOPPING BUT VERY DISAPPOINTING COMPARED TO ITS DUBLIN/CORK CHAIN. STAFF ARE LOVELY AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT NOT ALL ITEMS ARE RIDICULOUSLY PRICED. Brown Thomas is a landmark store in Galway, staff and friendly and full of advice, shoes bags and cosmetics (benefit, mac, clarins, chanel, YSL, clinique, bobby brown) downstairs, plenty of brands and choices, clothes on the other levels labels suitable for all ages, (karen millen, jesire, juicy couture, quinn and donnellyetc) great selection of underwear and control underwear highly recommend the brand yummy tummy... I really loke shopping in Brown Thomas but I have to admit this is probably the smallest BT in Ireland. They have a good selection of cosmetics on the ground floor and they also have a lovely shoe and bag section here too. Upstairs you'll find the contemporary fashions and they have a few high street names like coast and Karen Millen. They shop is clean and well decorated so lovely to go in and browse. ... Brown Thomas in Galway seems to be a little smaller then other branches as Tersa alresay said. Then again Galway is smaller then Cork and Dublin so l suppose its adequate for for the area. l asked the girl at one of the cosmetic stands for advice on foundation colour etc as l am not great at the whole applying make-up scenario. She was very helpful and applied a tester to me face which suited my skin, so l was happy out. ... Read more...
