Well folks don't bother going in search of what was a great shop any more. Having scouted around the area in vain I asked one of the cashiers in the Lidl near Woodies about it and he told me that it had gone into liquidation. So there you have it.... Read more...

Looked for this place, both on Tramore Road and after reading online on the phone while searching, tried the suggested new location of the former Mercedes-Benz showroom beside Woodies. Still has Mercedes written on it and no sign of life. Looked at back of Great Gas service station next door, just in case, but nothing. I looked on the CX Oriental facebook page for more information and it said they were moving to beside Woodies. That entry was in September and nothing since. Very odd. Can anyone... Read more...

First thing worth mentioning is that this shop isnt just a wholesale cash and carry, they also have an all you can eat chinese food restaurant attached. The food is actually quite nice, especially since its so cheap. I like coming in here and looking at all the stuff they have. One of their fridges is filled with things in small regular shop size portions, so its worth to pop in and have a look! Used to buy Monster Energy in there by the slab, but from the sounds of it, we were the only ones... Read more...

This a great shop for bulk buying. It's open to the public unlike most cash and carrys. I usually buy my rice here. You can get it in big sacks and there are lots of different varieties. there is also a really good fish shop and I love the all you can eat buffet in the restaurant. There's all sorts of food stuffs many of which I've never seen before but there's also all the usual favourites like soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce but at slightly better prices than in a regular supermarket. I... Read more...

I love this cash and carry. It's a brilliant place to get those illusive ingredients like wasabi paste. The sacks of rice are very good value, if you eat a lot of rice and I have had some really good veg as well. There are all sorts of weird and wonderful things in the freezer section which it can be interesting to take pot luck with. They stock loads of different noodles and a huge variety of dried chinese goods like seaweed. This is a really interesting place to walk around just to see what's... Read more...

Free and a lot of parking area. Located at Tramore road, near south ring N25. Most of goods are intended for Asian consumer. I like the fresh fish which are in my opinion much cheaper than fish in English Market. I often buy sea-bass there. There are a lot of other fish like salmon, crab, bream, prawn, mussels, Also for those who love to eat rice, there are plenty of choice there. And as other typical Asian shop, we can find a lot of Asian spice there. ... Read more...

I only heard of this recently when I got a flyer through the letterbox. It's a cash and carry which is open to the public. Located on the Tramore road, near Cloaiste Stiofan Naofa. Most of it's supplies are intended for Asian and Chinese restaurants but there's quite a few regular household items too, large size washing powder, bin bags and Barrys tea bags. It has a resuaurant which is an all you can eat chinese/asian buffet for €6.95. Fantastic value and highly recommended. Free parking... Read more...
