Really old fashioned cafe. Brings the chatter and gossip back into an afternoon tea, and as Jennifer said, it takes you out of the madness of the city and makes you feel like you're in someone's grandmother's house. Wooden round tables, table clothes, frilly curtains and loads of lace. It definitely attracts an older crowd but I think it's so cute. i love to get a bit of lunch in here and a cake. its fairly hidden in the sense there is never any quque or people ahead of you. the food is lovely and its reasonably priced!... Read more...

Tea in Cafe Bell

This place is somewhere I always visit when in Dublin. Its quiet and though right in the thick of things it's like you have stepped away out of the madness for a few minutes. If you could imagine popping into your grans place for a cuppa whilst in Dublin city center then that would be how Cafe Bell makes me feel. The round tables can sometimes have you sharing with some lovely old lady who is, afterall, someones gran. Staff are friendly and the tea is plentiful. The 'make your own' salad... Read more...
