Burgers
(28 March 2012)
by: Jimmy D. 4 out of 5
They do some great burgers here and other stuff too, like pizza etc, but the burgers are my favourite. It somehow feels better than hard rock etc. I dunno why. They do some mean cocktails here too. The prices are alright especially since they are located right in the city centre. I love heading here for a bite to eat before heading out for a few beers. Staff are happy and friendly. There is always a nice buzz in here, especially on friday/saturdays, though it can get really busy.... Read more...

I haven't been here in ages but it is a terrific place. So cool, used to savor coming here as a child for the delicious burgers and if your lucky a chair with a view to grafton street. Now im more into going for the cocktails which are great and good value as you can get them in jugs. food is still delicious and the staff are ok, but they seem rushed off there feet. great atmosphere and great location ... like it

I do like Captain Americas and their food, not the most healthy but a burger and chips or their ribs are always delicious. The decor is great and has been like that for years with some signed memorabilia. The bar is great and their beers are just perfect with the food. Desert menu has a good selection, my favourite's are the Chocolate fudge sundae, banana split and mississippi mud pie, always good and the portions generous. Have had the volcano cake, one is enough for two, delicious. Always a... Read more...

Mushroom Burger.
(08 February 2012)
by: Robinson. .. 3 out of 5
There was a time when Pigsback would offer vouchers for Captain Americas. It is such a pity that they no longer do this. I always found the food pretty good if the burgers were a little tough. There is one staff member there who I have noticed taking a sip of drink from her customers drinks. This is usually when the barman overfills the glass over at the bar area and before she takes them to the table. By taking the sip the contents in the glass will not spill when she brings them over. Pretty... Read more...

Good student restaurant
(07 February 2012)
by: Aisling R. 3 out of 5
The service here can be pretty bad. I booked a table for 10 people for 9pm just before Christmas. Three of us went in at 8.45pm and asked to be seated if our table was ready. We were asked to wait 10 minutes. More and more people showed up and we all hung out at the bar. At 9.25pm we got fed up waiting and went to go ask what was taking so long. The member of staff I had been dealing with from the beginning tried to pin the blame on other staff members, even though we all knew it was her... Read more...

Delicious

Captain America's is great. The food is great. The karaoke is great. The cocktails are great. I'm a studet and the discount card (2 for 1 meals) is a great bonus. One can get a delicious mouth-watering burger for about 6 euro if you have a friend with you. Without the discount card, this lovely american style restaurant would be a bit out of my depth money-wise. I went here on a Wednesday night for Karaoke one. Great atmosphere in the place and the drink specials were great.!... Read more...

A Gem.

Amazing Restaurant. Not a thing I can fault about the place. The service first of all is great, so quick, the food is quick, the waiters and waitresses are friendly but not too overbearing. The food is naturally excellent, with many vegetarian options too, as well as lots of chicken dishes, fish, burgers etc. I am particularly partial to student offer days during which cocktails are at a reduced price. Lastly, the place does 2 for 1 for students Monday- Fri so literally you can eat in an... Read more...

Still as good as ever
(14 October 2011)
by: TARA F. 4 out of 5
Havent been here for a number of years so was delighted to go and see had the place changed at all. The decor was still the same and the walls looked like they havent been painted in years. We both ordered Lasange and chips and the taste was exactly as i remember. The quality of the food was excellent we both had deserts which again where excellent. The only fault we had was that we orderd tea and we never got it. The restaurant was getting busy so i guess they just forgot about us.... Read more...
