Good for a new network

I think the Car phone Warehouse is good if you want to get an overview of the different networks, different price plans and different range of phones available. They do good comparisons on phone plans and tell you what offer best suits your needs. I do think they can be expensive for new phones if you are sticking with your current network provider it may be best to cross check prices with their store.... Read more...

great service from the sales girl

My other half was recently looking to upgrade his phone and was also considering changing networks so we went into Carphone Warehouse. I thought the girl in here was beyond helpful, she really knew her stuff and had a genuine interest in what she was doing. She was able to compare all the different phones on their merits and downfalls as well as give info on the phones coming out in the next few months. i had nearly the same experience in this shop not so long ago! i explained i wanted a pay as you go phone but the sales assistant was hell bent on selling me a contract! they do have plenty of phones but with the pressure off the sales assistant i couldnt really shop in comfort with the pressure being put on me, especially when i had no interest in a contract. that said the staff were very nice and happy to help, i guess there must be some extra bonus for getting people on to a contract or... Why are the phones so much dearer here? Last time I was in here looking for a phone the sales assistant got me really confused. He was really pushing a contract and an expensive one at that when all I wanted was a prepay phone. I have to admit they knew nearly everything about every phone in the shop but I was still not comfortable making a purchase. This store is small but has a wide variety of phones from all networks....
