We were back in here recently looking to find that unusual present to buy someone for Christmas. My boyfriend is a bit of a know all about whiskies or so he thinks so we headed in here to see if they had any nice boxed selections for gifts. There are so many whiskies to choose from with such unusual names. Very well located on Dawson Street the Celtic Whiskey Shop has a fine window display that is very inviting. Their range of different whiskeys are enormous, some well know and others not so well know. Never realised Ireland made so many whiskeys. Great shop to stock up with a nice selection of not the run of the mill whiskeys and great for presents and with Christmas coming perfect as a gift. Lovely whiskey shop

It's a varied review here. Some of the staff are excellent, but some just don;t have a clue. My rule is the older the staff, the more they know. This shop has an excellent selection though the price can be steep (but this is Ireland so it's the same everywhere I guess). THis is proabably the best place to bring a whiskey lover and I'd reccomend it to people who a looking for a good bottle of spirits.... Read more...

this is a really cool shop and i must say my dad would be in his element in here. they stock really rare whisky and other cool drinks. they offer free tastings too which is pretty cool. the shop is split into two halves the other half being wines on the green. they stock other spirits here too. they offer gift wrap and protective wrapping too for tourists that are worried about getting their stuff back safe.... If Willy Wonka was an alcoholic who decided to fuck the whole chocolate thing and get into something less sexually dubious (gobstoppers clearly an excuse to groom children) and more fun, he might very well have come up with the Celtic Whiskey Shop.
