The most expensive toothbrush in the world!
(07 April 2010)
by: Lynsey C. 1 out of 5
A couple of months ago I was visiting Dublin with a friend and had managed to pack everything (plus a bit more) except for my toothbrush. It was the evening, and I didn't fancy walking around searching for a toothbrush, so I thought I would pop into Centra on my way past and pick up a toothbrush. I was shocked and so was my friend - over €6 for a basic toothbrush! Unbelievable - talk about taking advantage of tourists or last minute purchasers! Needless to say, I went elsewhere to buy... Best Prices - Worst Kept Secret :-)
(23 March 2010)
by: Ciaran C. 5 out of 5
Dublin's worst-kept secret. This place has it all, and in the right balance. The deli is so quick at lunchtime, even though they must cater for over a hundred customers. Service is by and large friendly, you do get guys having a bad day. But the prices are incomparable, the food is fresh and hot food is hot. And then, the best part of it all is that you don't have to leave! Large, comfortable seating area right within the store! Its pretty tightly packed in, and you're not likely to get a... Read more...

chicken rollllllsssssssssssssss
(15 March 2010)
by: leanne f. 5 out of 5
Right well firstly, chicken rolls for €2. I don't even need to say anything else, however I will. Well yeah, the chicken rolls are gorgeous. Aside from that, the shop is very snazzy. I don't know whether it's completely new or just recently done up, but it's lovely inside. Have anything a newsagents would, and a deli with a seating area. The only thing I can think wrong of it here is that people often stand outside begging which can be a bit uncomfortable at times, but I mean, what can... Read more...

Lack of Seats
(02 March 2010)
by: Caroline D. 3 out of 5
although the offers were great .... i just feel that they should get in more seats.....or security to sto stop people loitering inside the seating area... every time i go their for my lunch its packed with college students who take up most of the seats so they can eat a lunch that they made at home . i just personally think its ridiculous as us paying customers should have first privilage's to the seating area... Where did this one come from?
(01 February 2010)
by: Cathal C. 4 out of 5
Is this Centra completely new to Dame St, or have they just done it up in a big way? It was 11 o'clock at night, I'd just watched a very enjoyable film in the IFI, and I was looking for somewhere to have a cup of coffee. Where would I find a place that was still selling coffee at that hour? Centra on Dame St is where. Centra is one of the two pimped out convenience stores that Dame St is currently graced with, the other being the massive Spar almost directly across the road from it.... Read more...

Home Run
(11 August 2009)

24 hour 2 chicken/breakfast rolls. This wonderful Centra has knocked Londis and its 'roll of the week' deals (which half the time are something useless like turkey or ham) clean out of the park.... Read more...
