nom pain au chocolat

(04 April 2012)

Good value great treats :) the pastries are to die for, but only as a saturday morning treat. croissants or a warm pain au chocolat is a must. very nice owners, keep it local and within the community. makes birthday cakes, and you can order in big orders as far as i know. its an eye catching place, which is good as it is slightly outside the village and therefore isolated slightly. bread is good too, sometimes a bit stodgy though.good prices.... Cupcakes too nice to eat?

(18 May 2011)

I used to go for the cupcakes which are the best in Dublin, but now often buy bread. They do a really nice soft loaf which is perfect for breaking off pieces of and dipping into bread oils or any other bread dipping substance. The cheese cakes are also very good, and they do a nice small size so you don't feel too greedy. But back to the cupcakes - they look too nice too eat but eat them you will!... Read more...

Brilliant

This bakery is more about treats and cakes than bread (although I've noticed more types on bread when walking past here lately). The cakes are beautiful - cupcakes, brownies, pastries etc. A little expensive so just for special occasions but would definitely recommend a visit here!... Read more...

Family favorite

When I want family on side I promise a visit to this piece of heaven and it always works, its the most beautiful shop in the South City, all my family love to go there as do I but I have to watch the extra lbs and sugar levels, but everybody is entilted to a treat every now and again. The range of beautiful cakes and pastries is something else. It is the best corner I know in Dublin.... Read more...

Excellent bakery

I love this place. They sell great scones and cupcakes at very competitive prices. I wandered over here this morning for a Sunday morning treat and was as always delighted with my purchases. An ideal place to buy a quick pizza slice or a sponge cake, a croissant or pain au chocolat. Definitely worth a visit. It is so nice to see that this bakery has such good reviews. Well done!... so good

Lovely little bakery which, in my opinion, has a huge emphasis on treats, which is the best part of a bakery hands down. I was convinced to frequent the place after I managed to demolish a good 3/4 of my friend's rhubarb crumble slice in an embarrassingly short space of time- and I don't even LIKE rhubarb. They've got a really diverse range, loads of tray bakes, lovely brownies and delicious croissants. Prices are cheaper than most bakeries, in my opinion, and I'm definitely going to make an... Terenure treasure

(09 May 2010)

Report

by: Ruth R. 5 out of 5

Ever since The Corner Bakery opened in Terenure I could not consider buying bread or pastries anywhere else. I have tasted just about everything sweet in there - croissants, pains au chocolat, scones (my favourite - very generous in size, shaped into triangles with crunchy sugar on top), waffles, brownies (a delicious slab of dense, gooey chocolate), birthday cakes, apple and cinnamon squares to name a few...and I have enjoyed every bite. Because everything is baked on site and in small... Read more...

Proper bakery at reasonable prices

(06 August 2009)

Report

by: Tom H. 5 out of 5

I have to admit that i eat too many croissants/pastries - having lived in France as a kid I think I was spoiled by the quality of the patisseries there and the food on offer. Proper bakeries serving quality fare are few and far between in Dublin but The Corner Bakery is certainly one of the few. It used to be my local bakery and most mornings I would get my croissant/pain au chocolat on my way to work. Aside from the quality of their bread/pastries, the owners/staff (seems to all be family run)... Read more...
