I been to Deveneys a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are A1 and have a great welcome for customers. The shop is busy and staff are kept on their toes. The selection of drink on offer here is out of this world. The mind boggles at where these folks managed to find so many weird and wonderful brews. Great offers and lots of trats in store. If you're near Rathmines go visit. You won't be disappointed.... Read more...

Go to the best-before-date fridge first

Don't confuse this Deveney's with the Deveney's on Dundrum's main street - same extended family, but a completely different enterprise. Whereas Deveney's of Dundrum sells upscale beer to affluent people, Deveney's of Rathmines is a bit more grounded, and its divine feature is its Best-Before-Date fridge, which offers huge discounts on beers that are nearing or past their sell-by date.
