We had a lovely day in Howth yesterday. I always like having a look in the various fish shops along by the harbour to see what sort of fish is available. You get the impression that all the fish sold is caught and delivered by one of the many trawlers that sit in the harbour. We noticed that the fish shops at the beginning of the harbour have the most expensive fish but as you walk down the harbour they drop in price. About half way down we decided to drop in to Dorans. Great fish selection

This is one of my favourite places to visit while in Howth. They always have a good selection of fish at reasonable prices but you need to be their early to get the best of it. The staff are always willing to advise and cut the fish to your requirements. They often have special offers which allow you to get fish you wouldnt normally buy at a decent preice.
