Make some room

(07 September 2011)

Although their book selection is wonderful I have found it more and more difficult to enjoy shopping at Eason's . I love the idea of a crowded vintage bookshop but Eason's is not this type of store and there are way too many people in it to have all their shelves so close together ! Sometimes less is more and I for one, would like to amble about this shop without tripping over everyone en-route. Having said that , they do have excellent book deals and a great selection of cards which I... Read more...

I like this Eason's because it's big but it's not massive. It'd be impossible to get lost in! (And considering how easily disorientated I am that's a good thing!) They have a good selection of magazines, all the women's magazines are near the tills while the hobby ones are near the art supplies. It's a good shop to go into on your lunchbreak for a paper or a magazine as there's never any large queues.... Read more...

Good Easons

This is a very good Easons in Dundrum. They have a very well stocked store. On the day I was there they had just got a new stock of books in. They have a good supply of stationery, and some artists materials and lots of books to suit everyone's taste. Staff here are always nice, bit of a queue at times but moves quick. I got some Easons gift vouchers as a present , so it was great spending them here. They are on Level 3 in the Dundrum Town Centre.... Read more...

Like Easons, but am slightly disapointed by this branch because basically i dont think they have enough books for a book store. Yes they will have a recent publication by a well known author but its unlikely they will have something less well known. They do however have a good selection of cards, arts and crafts and magazines. They also have nice section for kids.... Read more...

Easons

Love Easons in general and this shop doesn't disappoint however, if you are expecting something on the scale of Easons in O'Connell street you will be disappointed. The shop is clean and fresh and the staff are lovely and helpful. The shop although much smaller is well laid out and there is a great place for the children to sit down and have a look at the books if they want to try before they buy.... Read more...

I always liked Easons, This store is very clean & spacious & staff always are very helpful to me when I have any questions for them. They have a lot of variety in here, & their store is very easy to get around. This store has pretty much everything that you would need in the line of Art, Stationery,, & Books & much more. Some items may be expensive but they do have some good bargains when they reduce.... I was going togive this Easons a 2 star but its not poor, more below average(about a two and a half....)I went in today to specifically look for 2 books that just came out, one was a new Blockbuster that should have been all over the shop, but no sign....It seems to me the selection is a bit poor and if youre into Irsh fiction and biographies of soap stars and the likes of Jordan, then you get a good choice, but otherwise I would describe the choice as limited....I cant understand why the store... I tink this is a very good easons. It has a lot of choice and is a big shop. They have a really big magazine section. It can be very busy sometimes and at christmas the ques are sooo long but they always have lots of staff on the tills so you dont have to wait too long. The staff are also very helpful. If you cannot find something they will check it on the computer to see if its in stock and order them in if its not. overall this is a very good easons and it is very good value. ... Read more...

Books!

As a self confessed book worm, I adore book shopping. I often find that, half the appeal of book shopping is really the atmosphere in which you're doing it, I prefer something akin to a library, nice quiet, and relaxed. This Eason's does manage to offer exactly this, how I don't know as it's in a busy shopping centre, but they do manage it somehow! EAson's is brilliant as well because if you find book reading a little bit intellectually draining, they also have tabloid newspapers and magazines!... Read more...

What you expect

This is a decent Eason's but it's nothing special. It's a good size, but comparatively small for an Easons and the books range is extremely limited. I find they devote much more of the shop to stationery and gifts. Either way, prices here are reasonable and staff are friendly- I especially like that at Christmas, they add temporary cash desks all over the shop to help relieve the queues, it's very considerate!...
