Great for a G&T

I just happened upone this place when I in the area and decided to catch up with a friend - its was a rather pleasant summer afternoon and we decided to wander onto the grounds of the hotel for a stroll as we chatted and caught up on all the gossip. I was at a wedding in the Faithlegg House Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the couple was spoiled for choice for photos. The meal was very nice but the price of alcohol I found was very expensive. A friend purchased a bottle of ordinary chardonay wine from the bar and it cost over €30! The bedrooms were beautiful, very luxurious and also very comfortable. The staff were only ok.... Read more...

The Faithlegg Hotel located outside of Waterford is a one of a kind in the south east. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are 5 star. If you get the opportunity to stay here take it. the rooms are stocked with those extras which you only find in top class hotels iron & ironing board & pants press. The do an afternoon tea which is excellent. You get the usual tea & sandwiches but also scones with clotted cream which is very good. Overall this is a great place to go to. The staff... the drive up to this hotel is lovely as you drive through the golf course up to the hotel. the hotel from the outside looks impressive also. i have eaten at the golf club house, and the value of the meals is brilliant, i got the chicken curry on many occasions and it was delicious and at a fair price of around 9 euro too! i have had a meal in the hotel itself so i cant comment on the food in there. the review below about the wedding does not sound good though!?... A beautiful hotel located on beautiful grounds. Big rooms with big beds. There is a fine big leisure centre with large jacuzzi, steam room and swimming pool. If you fancy a game of golf you can do so here at a discounted price of only €25. If you bring your children along there is a good sized playground for them. This hotel has lots of special offers available and as some of the rooms have not yet been fully refurbished you might end up not getting the room you had hoped for if you avail... Read more...

a bad wedding experience

we attended a wedding in this hotel a few years ago, i have to say it was a disaster from start to finish. no exaggeration. when we arrived to check into the hotel we were met with a sour faced woman. the meal for the wedding was awful, truely awful. the worst part about the whole day was that the toilets actually backed up and flooded, they were right outside the function room, so the whole place stank, the staff opened alll the windows in the room, so we were then all frozen. the bedrooms...
