fresh
(27 April 2011)
by: mammy d. 4 out of 5
This is a specialist foodstore and is part of a chain. It specialises in foods such as organic vegetables. There is a great salad bar with things like cous cous and also has a selection of sushis from Aya. This is probably what makes this place so busy at lunch times. Theres also a nice cheese section and a coffee shop where you can revive from your shoping with a nice cuppa JO.... Read more...

Better than Spar
(08 March 2011)
by: Angie R. 3 out of 5
This is definitely a good alternative to the Spar that was here before it. It's a smaller version of the store in Smithfield Square, but manages to cram in quite a lot. I personally don't think that it's good enough to inspire all the rave reviews - it has very little that you can't buy anywhere else and it's not especially cheap. I've often bought fresh food from the deli in here and been a little disappointed in it - it often looks better than it tastes. Still, a welcome addition to the... Read more...

Fresh by name fresh by.....
(10 May 2010)
by: Thomas M. 5 out of 5
OK so its still a convenience store but for the size of it they carry a very good selection of food and ingredients, if your into cooking you can at least get fresh chillies and thai curry pastes etc unlike Tesco on Baggot st that seems to have some ingredients some of the time and they are fresh, some of the time. For lunch they have a good deli counter, good coffee and sushi king sushi. They usually have fairly good wine offers too.... Read more...

This is a good convenience store and the prices are not too bad for it either! They have a good selection of ready made meals and other things that you can pick up if u dont have enough time to make it to the super market. They have a nice little cafe there too and a few seats where u can sit and eat food you buy like rolls or sushi. The deli counter is good and they make some good ole sambos!... Read more...

What's all the hype?
(09 March 2010)
by: Roxanne B. 2 out of 5
This place is gimicky. It's basically a spar disguised as something classy by throwing some fancy yoghurts and organic oats in alongside the standard mix of products. Prices in this place can be SKY HIGH and RARELY equate to standard supermarket prices. I only buy the items on special offer in Fresh, and sometimes you can get good deals on fruit- for instance, the other day I got a pound punnet of red and green seedless grapes for 2 euro which is definitely good value and they were good... Very good (most of the time).
(28 January 2010)
by: Cathal C. 3 out of 5
Fresh is all things to all men (and women). First of all it's a convenience store - hasn't got as much of a range as a supermarket and it costs more, but that's the way it is with convenience stores. Fresh also has a little coffee shop, where coffee is slightly cheaper than most other places (€2), and is given to you in a proper mug rather than a dinky little cup. But where Fresh really comes into its own is in its deli. A veritable smorgasbord of choice greets the hungry diner: they... Read more...

Fresh replaced spar here. gone where the days of picking up a manky roll to amazing variety of salads, hot and cold dishes. You cannot fault fresh as a convienient store it has everything. I love the little cafe. They do great lattes and those yummy smarties cookies. I have literally sat here an entire lunch with a coffee watching the world go by.... Read more...

Good food
(19 October 2009)
by: Helen G. 4 out of 5
This place does the best food and it is a real pleasure to shop here. There is also Fresh outlets on Grand canal quay and Smithfield and they all ive up to the same standards. Might not be the best place to do your weekly shop but definitely great to pick up a few groceries or lunch. I highly recommend!... Read more...

" She's fresh fresh - exciting she's so inviting to me yeah!" -Kool & the Gang
(10 August 2009)
by: Niall M. 5 out of 5
I think fresh here can be taken in two ways. Firstly as seen in Fresh's own dictum : "We sell *fresh* Irish produce". Secondly in the way Outkast;s Benjamin André uses it when he raps "Ain't nobody dope as me, I'm just so *fresh* and clean (so fresh and so clean clean)". Anyway super shop. Sambos and salads and scotch eggs are brill, the drink is cheap and they sell ice, which is handy at some points during the Irish Summer.... Read more...

Even the name still does it for me
(10 August 2009)
by: Luke O. 5 out of 5
I think everyone remembers his first time setting foot in Fresh. It's like the first kiss, the first breath a baby takes after his plucking from the womb, the first keg-change for young barmen. Fresh! The name itself sounds radiant and exciting, though a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. To compare Fresh and its friendly staff to Centra, Londis or any of the other scum on the market is to compare gay sex to heterosexual sex. Fresh is like something out of a movie, as they say in...
