Dated and Tired

(27 November 2011)

Report

The Galway Shopping Centre is located on the headford road in Galway and it features a large Tesco a Carphone Warehouse, Meteor and O2 stores. It also has a very dated Penneys which is not up to scratch with the newer, modern ones around the country and it hasn't got a great selection. Foodwise there is just a Supermacs and an overpriced Franklins open cafe in the middle of the centre - so not great choices foodwise. The centre itself is quite dated and is crying out for modernisation. It could... Read more...

Not great

(02 October 2011)

I think the main reason people go to this shopping centre is for Tesco. The free parking is really handy but getting a parking spot can be a nightmare at times. There is a Pennys here also but its not great. The restaurant Franklins is ridulously expensive and the public toilets absolutely stink. There are other shops also - Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and Walis but their stock isn't great. All in all, not a great shopping centre! ... Read more...

This is a lovely shopping centre, I have been here loads of times on my many visits to Galway. There is plenty of parking here. There is a big Pennys in here that has something for all the family. They do a good selection of womans clothes and also a great selection of childrens clothes. There is plenty of other stores and clothes shops as well, something to suit all the family. Its a lovely clean centre and well worth going for a look if you in Galway and fancy a bit of shopping... Read more...

The galway shopping centre is accross from the cienma so can be handy if you are waiting for kids who are in the cienma,it's main shops are tesco, penneys, easons and a few others. It's handy because there is free parking. There is a kids play centre and supermacs in this centre. It is a few mins walk from the city centre. It can get busy at peak times and you must remember not to leave your car or else it will be clamped!... Read more...

Boring

(05 July 2011)

This is a good example of a rather boring sort of shopping center. Granted, there is plenty of (free) parking outside, but its dog-eat-dog at peak hours and on occasion I have seen cars clamped here. The exterior of the shopping center is fine (I can remember years ago it was an all-outdoor place, but as we don't have the weather here.....), there are a couple of shops on the outside and ATMs. Big glass doors at the front where taxis just pull up at their leisure, blocking the flow of traffic.... Free parking.

I'll start with the upside of the Headford Road shopping center - it has free parking - if you can find a space! The small area for eating in would'nt exactly whet your appetite. There is only an ok selection of shops in it. Tesco would be the anchor tenant. A lot of the better shops have gone - Hughes and Hughes have been replaced with Easons for example. It really could do with a re-paint and being dragged into this century. The public toilets are the worst I've seen in a long time. Not a... Read more...

Ok for a quick shopping trip

(12 June 2011)

Plenty of carparking spaces but i do avoid this place during lunchtime as there is always a build up of traffic getting in and out. The place itself could do with a revamp but its ok for a quick shopping trip but i would not recommend it for a big clothes shopping spree. It has a Penny's which is small in comparision to the one in town but handy to grab a few essentials. There is also a good Tesco for the groceries.... Read more...

Shopping centre

in general, this is not a bad shopping centre but it is not near as good as the shopping centre in Eyre Square. There is loads of parking spaces here. There is less shops though than Eyre Square shopping centre and less choice of food businesses. The basic shops are here, such as Pennys, Tesco, Mrs Selfridges and and Supermacs. The shopping centre is quite small.... Read more...

Headford Shopping Centre

I agree with other comments I have read in relation to this shopping centre. It can be slightly boring. There is a major lack of clothes shops in the centre. Having said that, there is a very fine Pennys store here but the one in the Eyre Square shopping centre is far larger. The car parking facility is excellent here with ample spaces. Just be careful you don't park your car and leave or you WILL be clamped. There is also ample eating facilities including Supermacs available. The shopping... Read more...

This shop centre is quiet and boring. It needs a real revamp and a change from the 70s look! It is handy for Tescos and Evergreen food shp..Penneys is here too btu I would avoid this one ..not good. A small Miss Selfridge, Dot Perkins and Wallis also reside here as does Franklins restaraunt. Cunniffe Electric, o briens offie and Supermacs also grace the centre. Handy place but not much here..... Horrible

This shopping centre is just horrible. Its got free parking, but often the park is full, but the centre is empty? It must all be staff cars as there is clamping in operation according to signs dotted around the park. I can remember years ago when this place was open air. Then it got roofed and it all went downhill. Its just dirty looking and shabby. There is a bit of a restaurant at one end, but I don't think I would use it. Sadly the one shop I did love in it - Hughes & Hughes is now... Read more...

Stuck in the 80s

I just don't like this place. Its really shabby and stuck in the 80s. Its just does'nt seem to be clean to me and the public toilets are rather scary! They have Options, Miss Selfridges, Penneys and Tesco to name a few....nothing else springs to mind and in any case all of the above shops are in town. I really would'nt bother....especially now that Hughes and Hughes have left the building.... Read more...
