this Hmv in dundrum centre is a good size and always has great deals on Cds and Dvds and they even seem to be selling apple products aswel! They have a great range of Posters and with there exit towards the cinema and mc donalds i often find myself going in to get out. Also a hub for people to perform such as jedward and the like as they have a big balcony area for artists to perform!! ... Read more...

His Master's Choice

I always seem to end up in this store no matter what I'm doing in the centre. I find it really relaxing just browsing all the DVD's and CD's and inevitably end up buying something as they have really great deals especially on all the classic movies of my childhood ! The staff are friendly and helpful and the music is also excellent. I first heard 'Mumford and Sons' being played here before they hit the big-time so kudos to whoever picks the CD's. I will say though that they seem to have an... Read more...

HMV changes so often it makes my head spin. I can never find anything where it was last time and always end up having to relearn the pattern of the shop. I do find that they are best for their old school vinyls, dvds and cds and I do love their little key rings and quirky items for sale. The headphone selection is amazing, they only have the best but in so many different prices as well. One of the things that I don't like however, are the long qeues and I have always found the staff to be a... Read more...

This is a really big HMV near the cinema and KFC in Dundrum. It certainly has a broad range of stock, and it always seems pretty busy. It just seems a bit bland though, too generic, so I never spend long in this branch of HMV. The staff have very good knowledge of the store, they seem to know where everything is so that's really useful if you get as confused as me!... Read more...

HMV in Dundrum is quite large and possesses a large range; it's easy to get to at Dundrum with the 75 bus and it has a massive footfall due to its location and its size. There's a huge number of indexed stalls which means that in spite of the size, the CD you might seek won't be too hard to find if it is present. Indeed, HMV is quite good for Christmas shopping as the chances are that you'll find something of the taste of those you know. Prices are are in a good range and it's not hard to... Read more...

Great HMV! Huge shop has almost too many dvd's to choose from! always has great offers too. One thing i like about this particular store is the book section. I've found some really good quirky books here that i probably wouldnt have found elsewhere. Only one small criticism and that that the game section could probably be a little bigger for the size of the shop.... Read more...

This HMV is a good size and seems to be always busy! You can pick up some good bargains on DVDs/CDs in here as they always have specials going on! It is also a good shop if you don't want to trek outside to get into the cinema when it is raining out all you have to do is walk through the shop and out the other side which leads you out to where KFC is! ... Like any other HMV, this is a good store. I've been to this store twice and each time I've gone in it has stank of fart :S What the hell like? The music is a little too loud, much louder than the HMV on Grafton street. Still the staff are just as friendly; I couldn't find a live Matisyahu CD and they looked it up and confirmed they didn't have it but offered to order it in. I said no, only because I live miles away so it would be simpler ordering it from the city centre. All the same, they were... Read more...

It's a good time to be a music and film consumer right now, with stores desperately reducing their prices in order to maintain dwindling profits, and HMV is right at the forefront of the cost-cutting. HMV Dundrum was originally owned by Virgin (later Zavvi) and was purchased at the height of the economic boom - Zavvi went kaputski a couple of years ago and HMV swept up the remnants as the only major record store left in the UK and Ireland. In Dundrum, it inherited a prime location that it... Read more...
