HMV is HMV. Big, with everything you need under the sun in the realms of visual and audio entertainment. The HMV on Grafton Street is particularly huge and has a great selection of nearly all DVD's. There's always a great deal on with new(ish) releases being added in constantly. It's a great place to pick up something small for yourself without feeling too guilty. HMV is a very good shop selling cds, dvds, video games etc & seems to be holding its own with the increasing popularity of itunes etc. I always like browsing here and things are well laid out and categorised and its has plenty of space. It can have good bargains in films - you can pick them up for 3 or 4 euro. It is also a good place to buy video games and consoles and usually has a good deal on. ... Read more...

Everyone knows HMV and how great they are mainly for CDs,DVD's and stock most music, film and game you might want. The layout is good, lots of room and everything easy to find even the older persons music. I have bought several box sets from them as presents, some people love getting the whole series of a show as gifts, never understood it myself, seen something once and that is it for me. All under one roof

This HMV is really big and is located on the middle of the most famous street in Ireland. It offers DVD's, music CD's, games, and electronics all at really competitive prices. When they have sales on DVD's can cost as little at €4 or 3 for €12, which are prices you just wont find anywhere else and there not bad movies either. New releases and blue ray DVD'd can be expensive though. The store is located over three floors and the layout seems to be constantly changing. ... Read more...

Fats Domino.

I lived in Louisiana for a while a few years back. I really got to like the music of the area, the food of the area and of course the people of the area. It can be difficult enough to get hold of the music of some of the lesser know artists but I have to say that I have been able to pick up some of the music here in HMV. Rhythm and Blues, Cajun Music, Gospel Brass Bands and some reggae. The music of Fats Domino, Tommy Ridgley and the like. Listen along to my attached youtube and enjoy.... Read more...

Huge Store

This HMV is great. It's a massive store with a great selection of everything. I usually shop online for DVDs and music but any time I've gone in here they've had what I wanted. Their prices for games are good, I've seen them undercut both GAME and Gamestop. It's in a great location, it's no surprise the shop is always busy.... Read more...

Probably the best HMV in Dublin. Large selection of games, books, DVDs, CDs etc over three floors. Have great deals and sales throughout the year. Prices can be expensive, especially on new releases. Although these days everyone (including myself) buy a lot online. HMV no longer issue student discounts. which is a shame. Instead they have a points card scheme, but only in HMV’s in the UK. why doesn’t Irish stores have this? I don’t know. It still is a great store... Read more...

ah good owl reliable HMV! Its a good spot to go in if you are looking for any music at all! they have such a good selection and u are basically guaranteed that they will have it! the prices are ok, but they dont do student discount which is something that i think that they should consider... Decent music store

As a big fan of buying online im finding myself going to these sorts of places a lot less these days. This particular HMV though I must say is very good. They have a great range of music and it always surprises me that they stock a lot of books also. They also offer the usual gadgets, mp3 players as well as all the usual apple products we all have or want. You can also pick up some cheap computer games in here if you look hard enough.... Good selection but music way too loud

At the risk of sounding like my mother, my enjoyment of this shop is usually spoiled by the music it blares both inside and outside. Given the vast selection of music types and other products such as dvds and books, I think that we shouldn't be subjected to just one kind of music at such a high volume. Still, it's a great place to hunt for gifts, especially if you're stuck at the last minute and the staff are usually very helpful and knowledgeable.... Read more...

HMV is a music, book, computer games and DVD shop. This one is ideally located on Grafton street, towards the Stephens Green end. They stock most genres of music CD's and music, film and tv DVDs. They also have a great vinyl selection with a lot of genres especially dance music. They stock lots of music and film posters. Staff are friendly and I have found them always helpful.... This is a really big branch of HMV on Grafton Street, whenever I've been in it it's always been very busy. They're great for stocking new releases and also for a wide selection of CDs and DVDs. The prices are a bit high in comparison to some other record shops nearby, and they've also stopped their student discount, so I can't say it's particularly wallet friendly.
