Going to this hair shop in dublin for years. It's always busy as they have loads of stuff from clip-in hair extensions, ponytails to eylashes and nails that are well priced and the quality is good. ... Read more...

extensions

(30 September 2011)

I too have had hair extension put in Hairspray in Wicklow Street. I had it done by one of the stylist and the colour match was perfect. The salon has a full range of hair and beauty products and if you are having any problems with your hair the perfect place to go and have a talk with them. Got the extension in, they looked gorgeous on me, but I could not get used to them at hall, thought they were very heavy on my head, but full intend going back in again and maybe have another look at other... Overpriced hair and rude staff!

I've been using clip-in weave extensions for seven years. I've always bought the weaves from "afro-carribean shops" for around €50 and stitched the clips on myself, but because of where I was working for a while, Hairspray was the closest place without sprinting over the Liffey on my lunch hour, so I gave them a try as my hairdresser recommended them. On my first visit, I just picked up the ones I wanted and bought them (€80) My hair was white blonde so I bought the... Read more...

great for special occasions

i have been going here for past few years for hair extension pieces for special occasions or nights out. I found the extension pieces were good value for money at only €29 euro a pop. They were reusable although I argue their claim they can be washed. I tried using plenty of conditioner but they looked just awful after and had to be thrown out. I have never had proper extensions done as it appears rather pricey. I was also told on my last visit they were no longer stocking the €29... Read more...

Great for hair products

While not an extension wearer myself, many of my friends are, and this is really a one-stop shop. They seem to have every kind under the sun, along with many other kinds of hair accessories, like clips and combs. They will also fit extensions in the shop, although that's fairly expensive! They have a great selection of make up brushes - professional quality and a lot cheaper than the MAC brushes. Plenty of nail stuff and fake eyelashes too!... Read more...

Id love my hair to be bigger and have more volume....it would save on all the back-combing.The last time i was in i was informed that they currently have the latest range of Jessica Simpsons hair extensions. There is a selection for blond hair and darker hair. They even have clip in fringes, so if your undecided whether to get a fringe or not you can experiment with a hair piece for a while. Jessica’s range of hair pieces are clip in and they look really well. It might be just what i need... Read more...

Rude, patronising staff..poor quality extensions

(26 July 2010)

I saw some reviews of this salon on TV3 and Youtube and thought it would be the perfect place to get hair extensions...however i was left disappointed. The staff I felt had no interest in me as I was only getting clip-in extensions rather than their costly permanent extensions (which by the way make you bald according to my hairdresser!!) I had an appointment made but was left waiting over 20mins while 3 hairdressers fussed over a girl sitting beside me who was getting permanent extensions.... Read more...

wiggy wiggy!

(04 July 2010)

Last Halloween I was dressing up and was in desperate need of a good black long haired wig so I went to here! At the time there was a temporary shop in Stephens green too but their wigs were rubbish (and 30 squids!) so I decided to pay a little more for something of better quality. The shop itself is tiny and at that time of the year it was really packed and busy but when the girls were serving you they were very helpful and friendly and didn’t rush you through like cattle. I was in with... Read more...

I've been an avid wearer of extensions for years and years. Hairspray is without a doubt the best stocked. With an array of colours and styles. I change my colour regularly and they always have a match. However, I cannot bear the staff. Every time I go in they are rude or cool towards customers. I'm a friendly person and am in the hair industry which is notoriously bitchy but this takes the biscuit. Especially the short haired girl whom I think is the manager. She practically threw the hair... Read more...

The most important accessory!

I love this shop. I was a bit taken aback at first, because it is definitely some sort of time machine that whizzes you back to the loud, neon-coloured 80's. However, their products are well worth the trip into the past. HAIR EVERYWHERE. Hair extensions are really trendy right now and actually produce amazing natural looking results. Hairspray offers extensions of all different sorts catering to all different hair colours and price ranges. They've got weave in, slide in, clip in, pony tails,... Read more...
