poor service

(10 April 2011)

Report

by: Caroline M. 2 out of 5

Visited this restaurant few months ago and i was not impressed. The choice of food is not great and it is really really expensive. The noise levels in here are crazy and its a haven for yummy mummys to meet who manage to block the whole place with their designer buggies. My food was cold by the time i got my cutlery. I didn,t stay long and found it was money poorly spent.... Read more...

Harvey Nics

There are two harvey n restaurants and i think both have been reviewed here. i am reviewing the restaurant on the ground floor that serves brunch and snacks. It is a nice little restauran and has alot of glass so you can sit and watch the passers by. I love their bacon and eggs. They put a service charge on the bill which i don't like as i think it should be up to individuals to leave their desired amount.... Read more...

Lovely for lunch

I went here for the first time recently and was really impressed. The service is excellent, menu choice is good, and the food is fabulous. A few people near us had afternoon tea and that look amazing! We left promising that we'd be back for afternoon tea and cocktails! All in all, I'd highly recommend it and will be back for sure.... Nice experience

(15 November 2010)

Have only ever been here once during the summer, was on a shopping trip with my sister, and wouldnt have ever considered it for lunch as we were under the illusion that it was very experience, however there was a lady handing out leaflets advertising a special 2 course lunch which if memory serves me correctly was €15. The food was very very nice, well presented , fresh produce. The portions were only of average size. ... Read more...

Good but not great

(05 October 2010)

I went here for the early bird menu, the food was lovely but i didn't feel there was enough of it, tiny portions! the table we were seated at was in the middle of the room beside the booths and i felt like we were in the way which wasn't very comfortable! for my mains i had the steak and it was delicious but there wasn't much served with it so i would recommend ordering some extra veg or potatoes, for desert i had a lovely champagne trifle which was very nice indeed, i wasn't overly impressed... Sunday brunch!

(24 April 2010)

Report

by: dub girl g. 4 out of 5

We often have brunch at the Ground Floor Cafe on a sunday morning as its a chilled out place to have nice (hangover) food without going for the greasy cafe option. I always seem to go for the Eggs Benedict which is delicious and himself swears by the Red Eye Coffee which is regular coffee with a shot of espresso in it. I believe they serve the brunch menu all day on a sunday which is good to know so you can't miss it even if you get up late. Might have to pay them a visit tomorrow!... Read more...

I forgot to add that every now and then they have Cocktail making classes, which are €50 a head. You make a large range of cocktails and then enjoy them with a meal afterwards. Great experience if you're looking for something different. ... Read more...

Delicious cocktails.

The Harvey Nichols Bar is a great place for a date or girly night out. The decor is modern, being mostly dark velvets and a brightly lit bar. Behind the bar they have a vast array of drinks, most of which I've never even heard of! Their cocktails are expensive, at €10 a drink, but they're well worth it. My favourits are the cosmo and...it's called something along the lines if "A hunt for an october night", whatever it is it's delicious. Also, on a Friday night they have a live... Read more...

Value for money

(30 September 2009)

Report

by: Helen G. 4 out of 5

I have eaten here on a few occassions now and definitely impressed by the value for money and service. Although on the odd occassion it has been slow. Lots of specials and offers and good meeting point for brunch on a saturday or sunday. Looking at the options available for lunch in Dundrum town centre, this is probably the best. Avoid the italian restaurants across from Harvey Nick as all over priced, delivered with awful service.... Read more...
