Lovely hotel

Hayfield Manor Hotel is an upmarket hotel, so you expect it to be expensive. But unlike some other expensive hotels I have been in, you do get proper service and extra detailed touches. You also get properly kept grounds. As soon as you enter the grounds (near University College Cork and Cork City), you forget about the surrounding city and the suburbs and feel more like you are in a mini-manor. The building itself is very pleasing to the eye and they have a lovely Victorian-style greenhouse... Read more...

Beautiful hotel

This is a very beautiful but very expensive hotel. You really get what you pay for though. The grounds are beautiful with a little aviary and a few resident pet animals. From the moment you walk into the hotel, you're treated exceptionally well. The lobby area has deep, comfortable armchairs and you can have afternoon tea or coffee and biscuits there if you wish. Even the reception desk is unusual, it's an old fashioned desk rather than just a counter like most hotels. The food here is... Read more...

Funny location.

I always though it was funny that the most expenisve and best hotel in Cork city, is located right next to UCC, where students look for the cheapest acomodation going. Not that this detracts from the hotel The place screams luxury, but then again, you do pay a premium for it. The staff are nothing but helpful and the rooms are beyond comfortable. Won't be back for a long time, but mainly due to the price, and the recession.... Read more...

This is a beautiful looking hotel on beautiful grounds with great Spa. The spa overlooks the pool area and has a lovely relaxing room and outdoor jacuzzi. The bedrooms are furnished with beautiful antiques with WiFi available in each room. The Orchid restaurant is decorated in lovely creams, chandeliers and candles. Sunday lunch will set you back €32 per head but definitely worth it. A lovely hotel to consider for that special occasion.... Read more...

I stayed here with my husband & child for a night in May. We had a family room which was very spacious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We dined in the Bistro each night. The food was to a high standard and there was lots to choose from on the menu. For breakfast there was a cold buffet breakfast and a hot menu to choose from. At turn down service, cookies and milk left in the room for our child which was a lovely touch. The swimming pool.steam room and jacuzzi, as well as the... Read more...

Lovely hotel in Cork for a treat

My husband and I stayed at the Hayfield Manor in Cork during our "babymoon", and it was absolutely lovely. It's very well located, within walking distance of the centre of Cork and all the sights, but far enough away that it feels peaceful and secluded. The hotel itself is old-fashioned and elegant, the rooms are comfortable and cozy and the spa and pool area, with an outdoor jacuzzi, is absolutely wonderful. They were able to organise a pregnancy massage for me during our stay,... Read more...

Couple of recession beating nights before the IMF breaks us altogether. Mind you, at an eye-watering €200 a night sans breakfast it would do an EU Commissioner proud. Great location, beautiful rooms. Apart from the irritating piano player in the lobby, nothing bad to sat about this oasis of tranquility 1 mile from Cork city. Highly recommended - apart from the price.... Read more...

Food in the Orchids restaurant was excellent and could not be faulted. i loved the large tables and the faultless service. Bar is cosy . There are also lovely places to sit and it is a lovely intimate setting. Afternoon tea here is wonderful for a girlie chat up with friends or to treat your mum.... Read more...

Have only ever met friends here for afternoon tea when they stayed there recently. They were staying 3 nights for an anniversary and were very impressed by the food, service and location and its proximity to the city. Although I had never been there before I was always curious to see what the fuss was about as you normally hear people speak in hushed tones about the Manor and so it was great that I could at least go and see it and experience the atmosphere from inside. I have to say it... Read more...

I stayed at this hotel before and it was beautiful my only complaint was in relation to our bedroom. It was quite old fashioned and the carpet looked grubby it didn't smell very well but it was a smoking room. The hotel itself is beautiful its old style and the gardens and little relax rooms are lovely. The restaurant serve the most delicious food and breakfast is fab. They also have a nice leisure centre and spa.... Read more...

Loved this hotel recently when I popped in for a coffee in the lounge. I was very impressed with the service in the lounge/bar and coffee there felt like a real treat and included those sugary sticks instead of cubed sugar for your coffee- very fancy! Staff were also very friendly. Will be back again soon!... Read more...
