I really enjoyed my stay here, it really is a manor !! It is the perfect place for a chilled out relaxing break. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. It a nice quite hotel with a friendly athmosphere. The room decor is perfect as well - as you would expect for this upmarket hotel. The food is delicious and i would highly recommend it. Overall i would put this at the top of my Cork Hotels list without question.... Read more...

This is a very beautiful but very expensive hotel. You really get what you pay for though. The grounds are beautiful with a little aviary and a few resident pet animals. From the moment you walk into the hotel, you're treated exceptionally well. The lobby area has deep, comfortable armchairs and you can have afternoon tea or coffee and biscuits there if you wish. Even the reception desk is unusual, it's an old fashioned desk rather than just a counter like most hotels. The food here is... Read more...

Loved this hotel recently when I popped in for a coffee in the lounge. I was very impressed with the service in the lounge/bar and coffee there felt like a real treat and included those sugary sticks instead of cubed sugar for your coffee- very fancy! Staff were also very friendly. Will be back again soon!... Read more...

My husband and I stayed at the Hayfield Manor in Cork during our "babymoon", and it was absolutely lovely. It's very well located, within walking distance of the centre of Cork and all the sights, but far enough away that it feels peaceful and secluded. The hotel itself is old-fashioned and elegant, the rooms are comfortable and cozy and the spa and pool area, with an outdoor jacuzzi, is absolutely wonderful. They were able to organise a pregnancy massage for me during our stay,... Read more...

A boutique hotel is how you would describe Hayfield Manor Hotel. Fitting for Pierce Brosnan who has stayed here and which the owners like to remind us with a picture behind reception. Everything about this hotel is fab. Given it's size you are always guaranteed a quite intimate surrounding. The rooms are of a very high standard, while the staff are very personable and well trained. They have a Spa and pool, which is surprising but very welcome. If heading to Cork again and looking for somwhere... Read more...

I stayed at this hotel before and it was beautiful my only complaint was in relation to our bedroom. It was quite old fashioned and the carpet looked grubby it didn't smell very well but it was a smoking room. The hotel itself is beautiful its old style and the gardens and little relax rooms are lovely. The restaurant serve the most delicious food and breakfast is fab. They also have a nice leisure centre and spa.... Read more...

Stayed here on 2 separate occasions. Once with family and second with best friend. on both occasions we were treated extremely well. Made feel very welcome on arrival. Rooms were huge and spotless. Great for dd to run around. Food in the Orchids restaurant was excellent and could not be faulted. i loved the large tables and the faultless service. Bar is cosy. One disappointment is the beauty area. Definitely not 5 star. ... Read more...

I always though it was funny that the most expenisve and best hotel in Cork city, is located right next to UCC, where students look for the cheapest acomodation going. Not that this detracts from the hotel The place screams luxury, but then again, you do pay a premium for it. The staff are nothing but helpful and the rooms are beyond comfortable. Won't be back for a long time, but mainly due to the price, and the recession.... Read more...

Have only ever met friends here for afternoon tea when they stayed there recently. They were staying 3 nights for an anniversary and were very impressed by the food, service and location and its proximity to the city. Although I had never been there before I was always curious to see what the fuss was about as you normally hear people speak in hushed tones about the Manor and so it was great that I could at least go and see it and experience the atmosphere from inside. I have to say it... Read more...

compared to many other spots across the country hayfield would probably stumble a bit on several levels but in cork really in the city centre area it is probably the best - they say 5 star, but really a decent 4. nice rooms, beautiful grounds, quiet yet 10 minutes to the city on foot, old world charm but modern standards are met. the restaurant is like many hotel offerings, promises a lot, high prices but really doesn't deliver, for that reason worth a stroll into town to take in a broader,... Hayfield Manor Hotel is an upmarket hotel, so you expect it to be expensive. But unlike some other expensive hotels I have been in, you do get proper service and extra detailed touches. You also get properly kept grounds. As soon as you enter the grounds (near University College Cork and Cork City), you forget about the surrounding city and the suburbs and feel more like you are in a mini-manor. The building itself is very pleasing to the eye and they have a lovely Victorian-style greenhouse... Read more...

I stayed here with my husband & child for a night in May. We had a family room which was very spacious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We dined in the Bistro each night. The food was to a high standard and there was lots to choose from on the menu. For breakfast there was a cold buffet breakfast and a hot menu to choose from. At turn down service, cookies and milk left in the room for our child which was a lovely touch. The swimming pool.steam room and jacuzzi, as well as the... Read more...
