I just love the Swedish furniture in Ikea. I needed to buy some furniture for an old junk room that I decided to clean up and convert into a TV room. Ikea was the perfect place to go to. I bought a new sofa and a chair. Very cheap but so pretty. Their furniture is nice and from talking to other people that bought furniture from Ikea, it appears to be very strong and lasts. They have kitchens as well as beds and sofas. Even if you don't buy anything you can drop into their cafe to have a bite to... Read more...

Cheap & Cheerful

I love Ikea and was delighted when they opened up in Ireland. They have a fantastic range of furniture and homewear all at fairly reasonable prices - where else would you get a brand new coffee table for 2.59?! It's a shame that they don't deliver nationwide however, and I think that's a service they should look into as I know so many people, myself included, who most definitely avail of this if it were available! The canteen represents great value and is a nice place to go take a break and... Read more...

A one stop shop

I'm a regular visitor to IKEA in Ballymun. There is ample car parking on site but you may need to look for it if its busy. Everything begins on the top floor with the showroom which leads into the shopping areas on the lower floors. Everything is one way but there are shortcuts to allow you to bypass certain areas. The tills are a bit of a mystery with some of them being credit card only. The restaurant is great value and good quality. If you have an IKEA Family card it entitles you to free... Read more...

We love Ikea, plenty of wonderful furniture for those on a budget. With a little creativity and perhaps some help from the Ikea Hacks website, the options are truly endless. Nice setup in Dublin, checkout can be a little slow though. Great selection and great for a cheap lunch!... Read more...

I've only been here once but it was wonderful. It's huge, we spent literally hours wandering around in there. Thank God for the cafe! Ikea has a huge selection of furniture and a lot of it is flat pack but that's handier for transporting home. They also sell so many bits and pices for kitchens, bathrooms etc, little gadgets you never knew you needed! I found the layout and displays great for giving me a few ideas. My only gripe is it's too far from where I'm living - I just wish they would open... Read more...

I went to Ikea for the first time the other day and I have to say it is massive. If you want to go shopping there bring a lot of time with you. We were only looking for one thing - it took as 20 minutes to find what we were looking for (only found it after we asked). Now having said that they have a brilliant selection. If you are only moving in to an apartment or house it is well worth checking out Ikea - they have kitchen stuff that is very reasonably priced. However you do need to be aware... Read more...

I could honestly sit all day drooling over an Ikea catalogue! Been here a few times picking up bits for my apartment, it's so cheap! You'd expect their products to be low quality for their prices but they're really not. They have a huge section with nursery and kids furniture, and plenty of lovely staff on hand to help you. The restaurant is cheap as chips too, not exactly gourmet cuisine but plenty of meal options, and drinks, cakes etc. Generally a pretty busy store, and lots of families with... Read more...

quality and inexpensive

We have been to Ikea a few times. Their furniture is inexpensive but the quality and range of products is very good but most of it is flat pack. They are constantly updating their product range for certain items which is good. There are rooms set out with their furniture just like it would be in a house, and I actually find this a great idea and great help, gives you an idea how their furniture would look all together. It is a distance from where we live so don‘t get to it as often as... Read more...

An absalute maze

Ikea is by far the cheapest furniture store I have ever been to with a crazy amount of variety. It easy to get to by the M50 and has very adequate parking facilities. The inside massive and the show rooms are broken up into different categories such as bedroom, office, kitchen. The show is dauntingly vast and is purposefully made easy to get lost in, so don't expect to go and just spend 5 minutes there. Your best off finding what you want on-line and going in there with your product numbers in... Read more...

I was very surprised to hear that Ikea of all places had launched a man-creche for weary partners to take time out ! Of all the shops going this is the only one my husband actually enjoys. It''s practically and functionally laid out and excitement of all excitments- he gets to assemble something at the end of the day ! We recently purchased a super sofa-bed there which was so easily assembled and very reasonably priced. Even if you have nothing major to buy I find this store a great place to... Read more...
