This chain of coffee shops are amazing. I am a huge fan of their hot chocolate especially the white one called a hot angel. Really hard to get a white hot chocolate in Dublin but insomnia is the place. The outlet opposite St stephens green shopping centre is a real little mekka great place to bring a magazine and just chill or meet some friends. They also do great muffins and sweet treats. Staff are always really friendly and offers some good combo deals as well. ... Read more...

I really love this brand of coffee shops! Unfortunatly for me there are none in Limerick! This particular branch is really nice! They do an absoloutly awesome thing that I think is called a white angel? It's like a white hot chocolate with steamed milk! SO yummy! The cakes and cookies they have as well are amazing! Love it!... I love the hot chocolate that insomina make, its like the Butlers hot chocolate one made on milk, but the secret is that they have melted lilly obrien chocolate at the bottom, froty milk and then cream!! this is by far my favourite one of the chain of insomnia as it is in a great location! its handy for where i go to college and work!... Terrible coffee but good deals

As a coffee lover, I'm convinced that this is up there with Starbucks when it comes to serving some truly horrible coffee - it always tastes burnt. Having said that, if you skip the coffee and get a tea or hot chocolate, there are some great deals to be had here. They do a sandwich and any hot drink for a fiver, which makes for a very cheap lunch out. They also have delicious cakes and pastries.... Read more...

Good

Good selection of sandwiches, the coffee is nothing to write home about but it does the job. It is overpriced, but try finding a cafe in Dublin that isn't! The staff are usually very nice, and it's usually quite calm and tranquil inside, a bit like a smaller lesser-known Starbucks. The pastries get me everytime, they're very tasty and go perfectly with the coffee. Good for a quiet bite to eat or for a small lunch.... Read more...

Insomnia is cheap, modern and great for fulfilling a need. This insomnia is located just across from trinity collage, along Dawson st. It has a large glass window in with stools along it. Inside is small but there is plenty of seating all wooden tables and chairs. There is plenty of hot beverages and some more unusual ones as well. There are also lots of tasty teats. I recommend the white chocolate and lemon muffins. There are lots of really good combo deals on here for a drink and food, which... Read more...

Lots of sambos suitable for vegetarians

While I always go for my absolute favourite sambo chicken and stuffing they have a great selection of sambos for vegetarians like my sister. We both love the great fruity brack and the endless selection of great coffees and chocolate. They have posters up in the windows of all these shops with their special offers so it is really a recession buster kind of menu price which is great. Your money goes a lot further here for a snack. Nice they have papers you can read and friendly... Read more...

Insomnia do the NICEST hot chocolate in the world! I'm not a fan of coffee's but I hear they are nice too! but as i only drink hot chocolate, i still haven't found a place that makes them as nice Insomnia! I don't really get any of the cakes that they do but I have tried their banana bread and even though i still think my mam's homemade banana bread is the nicest ever, Insomnia's is nearly up there with it! Oh and also, at christmas just gone, they gave out little boxes of Lily O'Brien's... Read more...

Nice spot for coffee

Insomnia has become competitive with the recession and they have great combo deals where you get your coffee and sandwich/muffin for great value. They also do lovely soups I have to say. What REALLY gets me though is the coffee, I think people take for granted how PERFECTLY prepared the cappuccinos are- they are so creamy through and through... I also enjoy their frappuccinos, especially the banoffi one! This particular insomnia is a nice place to sit down as the chairs are really comfortable,... Read more...

i used to find insomnia quite expensive, but now that the doom and gloom is here they've come up with some great deals that would make them my number one for a cheap lunch. you can get any coffee and sandwich for €5, and panini and coffee for €6 or any cupcake/muffin and coffee for €3.50. They also have soups which aren't your typical "vegetable" or "chicken". If you want a tasty and cheap lunch, Insomnia is a must.... Read more...

If your in need of a quick fix, of coffee that is, then Dawson street is the best place to get a hit. In fact your spoilt for choice when it comes to main coffee dealers on this strip, from Insomnia, Starbucks and the place on corner of Molesworth street, Cafe Costa I think. This particular Insomnia outlet is tight for space inside and any form of crowd makes it slightly uncomfortable. It's for that reason that I generally pop in here off peak hours, either mid morning or mid afternoon. The... Read more...
