irish Ferries

I used to always get the ferry with my family to Roscof (def not spelled correctly) in france when i was younger. It was so easy just throw everything in the car and your away. there was quite a lot to do onboard and their were restaurants and pubs for drinking. I really did not like the bed room situation, felt like i was living in a coffin, so small. but asides from that it used to be a really great trip. love boats, great alternative way to travel.... Easy

THis is such an easy way to get to France, and you can bring the car. As the ad says bring the car and bring the bags. If you want to head over to France and stock up on cheese or wine, then this is the way to do it. Boarding is super easy and less queues than the airport. There is a good selection of food on the boat but it can be a littel on the expensive side. The food was of good quality. I would definitely consider it when choosing what form of transport to use to go to France.... Read more...

We travel back and forth from the Republic of Ireland and the UK several times a year and Irish ferries would by one of two companies we use frequently. They have really good offers on all throughout the year and if you book early enough you can do some great savings. This ferry service is always prompt and on time. The journey itself is always a pleasant one. There are several shops, bars and restaurants on board to keep you occupied on board the ship. If you have children they have a great... Read more...

Irish ferries are a great company to travel with if you have a family and have a large amount of luggage with you. Your not restricted luggage wise and came bring on as much as you need to. Food is quiet expensive on board so I would advise that you bring your own food with you. The ship is lovely and clean, toilets are spotless. Staff are very helpful esp if your traveling with children. Plent of places to sit and look out a window. Decks to walk around. Great way to travel... Read more...

Irish Ferries
(25 August 2011)

Irish Ferries is a wonderful was to travel across to the United Kingdom, especially if you wantto bring a car. The prices are very reasonable. I think it is definitly cheaper than flying if you are with a group and if you need to hire out transport at the other end. The crossing was quick and passed nicely. We just had enough time for a look around the boat, take some photos, and grab a bit to eat and there we were landed. The crossing was lovely and smooth which was great.... Read more...

Irish ferries is a great hit with our family in the summer. We often went to Roslare on holidays for a week and would go on a day trip with Irish Ferries to Fishguard. The crossing would take over 4 hours but the kids loved it. We would bring them to the back of the ship and let them look out. The journy would fly in. There is a big resturant on board and also a bar and loads of seating. Plenty of toilets and there always spotless clean. Day trips are reasnably priced as we get a family ticket... Read more...

If you aren't a flyer and want a handy trip over to the UK then give these guys a try. Its really easy to first off get on the thing and then when you are on it you will find it very spacious. Ive never done the over night thing, just a short couple of hours trip so cant comment too far on it but the facilities they have are fine for a short time frame, decent bar, plenty of seating areas etc... I have not traveled with this company in years the boats still don't look the safest. Why go this way that takes house when you could go on the HSS that takes a fraction of the time and isn't much dearer. Alot of truckers use this boat says it all really. Would not be kean to travel with them again with so many other options out there and for a bit cheaper if you shop around... Read more...

Irish Ferries

I travelled with Irish Ferries from Dublin to Holyhead on the swift ferry. The sailing took just over an hour and half. You would not feel the journey passing. We brought the car with us. Driving on and off the ferry took very little time and staff were very organsied and efficient in dealing with aspect. There is plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. There are places to get a drink or a bit to eat. Thought the ferry was untidy though.... Read more...

With both Ryanair and Aer Lingus prices going through the roof I think I will have to review the type of holidays that I take in the future. I don't know how any family can afford to travel abroad anymore what with the extra cost of bringing a suitcase with you. Sometimes the suitcases costs more than the flight ticket. I see that Irish Ferries are still going strong. They have a further 10% knocked off their visit Britain prices for this summer. You can travel Dublin to Holyhead or Rosslare to... Read more...

Holiday by ferry
(18 May 2011)
by: T. M. 4 out of 5
We have travelled with irish ferries to France a few times now and think that Irish ferries is a very good service. Boarding is very efficiently completed and cabins are a good size by comparison with other ferries! We have tried a few different cabins and they have some to suit every pocket. The food on board is not great although there is a range of restaurants. All are pricey for the quality provided. The entertainment is good if you have small children. ... Read more...

I used Irish Ferries last year to go to and from France with family with the Oscar Wild. The ships are very modern and clean. The children’s soft play area was a big hit with the younger children, it kept them occupied for ages. Which gave me a change to relax. The cabins that we used to sleep overnight were spotless. It was great to be able to take our car and drive without any hassle of airports and confined to the amount of luggage we can take. Will definitely be using them again this... Read more...
