(01 March 2012)

i have always passed the iveagh gardens on the bus and peered into over the gates but never actually went in until last summer when i went to a comedy festival on the grounds. i have to say i enjoyed walking around the park with a cold drink more than seeing the comedy acts themselves. the gardens are so quaint and beautiful, with many fountains and a lovely waterfall. this is somewhere i always go back to now..... Iveagh Gardens
(29 September 2011)
by: Dee D. 3 out of 5
This garden was one of those secret type gardens heard about but never went until I was brought there by a friend. We had just been to the Concert Hall, the evening was warm and we went into The Iveagh Gardens behind the Concert Hall. Nice enough and there are sometimes events put on during the year. Good sized are to walk and the kids can run around and play. Nice for a picnic, it would not be as nice as Merrion Square or Stephens Green parks but is still attractive, last time I was in it... What a surprise
(14 September 2011)
by: Hanna B. 5 out of 5
My first time in this garden was the morning I started a new job in the area. I was ridiculously early so wandered about and happened upon this oasis. Completely unobtrusive, it really does play itself down from the outside but then as you decend the steps ( hatch St entrance) you really will not believe that just minutes ago you were surrounded by concrete. From its beautiful rose garden to its stunning foutains and waterfall, it really is one of the nicest park I've been to. You might also... Read more...

this is one of dublin's lesser known parks but no less pretty. it is quite small, located on harcourt st. It is very well maintained with nice fountainsand statues and lots of benches. Much quieter than stephens green but only a stones throw away. great place to relax uninterrupted ... Read more...

A nice small park to visit it's behind the Concert Hall. A lot smaller than St Stephens Garden but still has its charm. It's a nice peaceful place to go to if the weather is really hot as its much cooler there under the trees. Several benches to sit on and a nice waterfall and some nice fountains.Taste of Dublin will be on there next week. There’s nothing nicer than the Iveagh Gardens in the sunshine with tasty food and some friends. They have several other events on during the year.... Read more...

A great place to escape from the busy atmosphere of the city:The Iveagh gardens are like the mystical and spiritual zen of all parks.Perhaps what gives it most of its character is the old statues which come to life in your head. This place on a summers day is like a piece of green paradies, with the rose garden, maze, fountains, and ducklings which are so cute to feed !... Great escape
(19 March 2011)
by: Ian s. 5 out of 5
The Iveagh Gardens or secret gardens as they are sometimes called are another one of Dublin's lesser known public parks, partly because their entrances are not very obvious. The gardens are situated just off Harcourt Street. Its a lovely spot to go for a walk and to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre and they are never too packed. There's a beautiful restored cascade as well as a rose garden. The Gardens als host some concerts and events during the Summer.... Read more...

Didn't know it was there!
(20 January 2011)
by: Franco L. 4 out of 5
The only reason I won't give it five stars is that it's really no match for Stephen's Green park. I must have walked past the street with this park hundreds of times without realising what lay inside. It's a lovely oasis in the middle of a load of traffic and office buildings. It's a fab place to eat your lunch in the summer and it's getting more and more popular as a venue for gigs and events such as the Taste of Dublin. ... Read more...

Big surprise
(04 October 2010)
by: Noel E. 5 out of 5
I was totally shocked to see the Iveagh Gardens during the food fair, I had never known they were there untill the food fair, to have such a gem in the centre of a city is unbelievable. The gardens a beautiful and so well kept. I have worked at different times in that area and I knew nothing of these gardens. I would regard myself as an outdoor person and thought I knew every beauty spot in our capital city, its just unbelievable that I had no idea this lovely place existed. I am ashamed of...
