Went as a group of seven after the recent Ire-Scotland rugby match. A good experience, with authentic Japanese food..Various sushi starters were ordered, and amongst the mains were my Ebi tempura- large deep fried prawns in a very very light batter (c€19) ; my wife had the sukiyaki )beef, vegetables and noodles in a soup-sort of hotpot, also about €19 and quite substantial.Other dishes includes a very large sushi platter for two -lots on it. Service was good, efficient and... Read more...

I was lucky enough to be passing by here about 2 years ago and they were doing a free sushi tasting event.Although I was on my own I went in anyway for the craic, and boy waS I glad I did. The food was absolutley delicious, maybe I;m biased as I adore sushi. The decor was very in keeping with Japanese, all wood and there was an intimate feel to the restaurant with friendly professional staff.I would recommend this for office staff entertaining clients as it is a professional atmosphere.... My husband and I went here for our first wedding anniversary. We love sushi and were looking for somewhere really good to go since it was a special occasion. Suffice to say we found what we were looking for. The gyoza dumplings were delicious. The sashimi and sushi in Koishi is great, really fresh, great quality, tasty. Fab! And the attention to detail from the waiters was great, small things like we asked whether they had chopstick rests, they didn't, but our waitress immediately took... Read more...

My boyfriend took me here for our first date in Aug 2009 and we've been here many times since. We're always greeted with a friendly smile when we go to Koishi. Sometimes the restaurant can be quiet but I don't think that's in any way reflective of the quality of the place but more that not everyone likes sushi! The food quality and portions are always excellent and the presentation is beautiful. I've even had enough food for lunch the next day, which is always a nice treat! As they have a... Read more...

Lived in Japan for a number of years, so I would consider myself knowledgeable in terms of Japanese cuisine. This place really hits the nail on the head in terms of service, food and atmosphere. I love how they have really keep the eating style of the Japanese and don't confirm to starters & main courses. The food is delicious and very fresh. The staff are lovely. I'd love if they dropped their prices a little, as the portion sizes fit with what's served in Japan, but may seem little for... Read more...

This is the new crown king of Japanese food in Dublin - and I've tried them all. Authentic cuisine and friendly surroundings, they welcome you with a bowl of adamame and a smile. Really enjoyed their beef teriyaki, while the uyako-don was very tasty. Did the sushi menu once and found it delightful. I'll be back many many times.... Read more...
