I was a regular customer when this place was the more informal Maison des Gourmets, so I was disappointed when I heard that they were turning it into a proper restaurant. But I was there the other night and there's nothing to be disappointed about. The setting is that of a Parisian Bistro and the prices are pretty similar too. Delicious food & great service! Finally a Dublin restaurant that delivers. Spinach soup was mouthwatering. Sea bream delicious, a nice crunch on the skin although the sauce was slightly too salty. Of course the winner for us girls as always - chocolate - Chocolate fondant was perfect - melt in the mouth and served with vanilla ice cream. Great value earlybird, quality food and wine. I went to this place for lunch a while ago, was during the summer actually but only just joined this site! The food was fab, although portions were quite small. Sat upstairs and it was bright and airy. Service was good. And, I love the location. Defo wanna go back again.... Read more...

Naturally, I was devastated to hear that the cake shop was closing, but after the refurbishment they have opened up a lovely petit french restaurant that is lovely and french, really. Firstly -you cannot make reservations so just rock up, put your name down and pop into Grogans for an apperative.
