We had such a great evening here last week. Staff were lovely. Service was fast and nothing was too much trouble. Had the chicken and couldn't get enough. My other half had the beef which she loved (and me). The wine was gorgeous and inexpensive. Had the melba for dessert which I would highly recommend if you like real chocolate taste, yum. I was so sad that my very much loved cafe bar deli was replaced by this gross restaurant!!! The atmosphere in here (on a friday night!) was so drab, the place was almost depressing, when we left we said to each other well thats one place we wont be going back to - and that doesnt happen a lot with grub! I've been to this restaurant a few times since it opened and have only good things to say about it. The staff are very friendly- nothing is too much trouble. Delicious breads and carafes of water are brought to your table when you arrive. I've tried a few of the starters and while they were very nice, the main courses is where this place comes into its own. This is in the premises that used to house Cafe Bar Deli and Bewleys before it so they're benefitting from the lovely original interior. It's a rotisserie style restaurant - the simplicity really helps to keep the prices low. The kitchen opens out onto the restaurant which I always find reassuring! All of the main courses are served with pretty much the same accompaniments - nice organic veg and potatoes. Portions are very generous - you won't be hungry after eating here. The beef deserves...
