Not much to say really. Great place and staff are always friendly. I love the crispy bits too. Always get qtr pounder and i think its great. Fish lovely too. A couple of times chips werent up to normal standard, but i think in general most chippers are the same. Delivery is great too. Usually very speedy.... Read more...

Surprised with the average reviews here. This place is an above average chipper. It's a bit above average price too, but not by much. I think the best thing on the menu is the chips. The burgers are good, standardly delicious, and the fish is lovely (quite expensive and I'm off cod [there's about 5 of them left]), but the chips in paper with a garlic dip is the best and the portions are fairly huge. Leo Burdocks serve the most delicious chips. they are really beautiful traditional chips in a paper bag. they load on the salt and vinegar which makes them all the more tastier!! They are very cheap too. i love theri fresh cod as well it is done in a batrter and is quite greasy but it tastes great and is nice now and again. A pretty average chipper

I have been quite a regular customer of theirs since they opened and don't feel that they have made any real effort to get to know me or show that they appreciate my custom. They have a bit of a money grabbing attitude. Their 4.95 deal that they have running at the moment is also scandalous. They give about 1/3 of the portion of chips that they usually give in a normal bag with it. I will use again only due to the fact that they are my local chipper and they are convenient. ... Overpriced bllsht

The menu is way too overpriced. Just because the branch in town has a great name doesn't mean Dundrum can hand out any old dirt. Last 3 occasions I have been in and asked for chips, the staff member has flipped up a lid and given me chips that have been left over lying there since the last batch where cooked. They have been luke warm at best. Cannot justify handing over 3 euro for that. The crispy bits thing is rubbish aswell, do people want chips or bits???? I'd rather go to a chipper up... Read more...

Slipping

I have written a review here back in Oct, but noticing things slip somewhat so feel the urge to update everyone. First off their chip portions have definitely decreased by about 30%. At €3 a bag it's still value I suppose, but don't set an expectation and then take it away! However what really irked me here last night was the staff member serving me my chip and qrter pounder without even looking at me and with a dead pan face. crap burgers

I know this is famous for it's fish but on Saturday I fancied a burger, i was passing so I decided to get it there and since burgers are on their menu i never thought they would be as bad as they were. I ordered 2 qtr pounders and one chips. 1 burger & chips was €6.90 and the other burger was €3.95 (which by the way means the chips are €2.95). Finally!

Well, the word spread quickly around Dublin 14 that Leo Burdocks was opening on the main street. Whispers from one person to another, "Did you hear?" "When is it happening?" " Best fish and chips around!" and in the opening week the qeues were snaking down the street. Over dinner time, any day of the week, the queue will still be long but they have a great system that sees it moves quick enough. Leo Burdocks have the best fish and chips I have ever had! At first I thought it was quite expensive but when you then see the portion size it really isnt. A little scene setting if i may - Freezing cold snow-covered Friday night, long week in work and ravenous with the Hunger - Fish n Chips from Burdocks....perfect! A massive portion of chips with a huge battered cod - a little dry if im being honest.....i think the fish bites are the way to go , small bettered fillets that seem to be fresher (and cheaper!). Hands off my burger!

Left here feeling rather cheated recently. I ordered the chicken burger with chips. The chips I did not have a problem with, it was rather the burger and who was making it up. This guy came through from another door, from god knows where. It looked like he was the burger guy, the bucket lifter and the binman all in one. You cannot fault the guys in here for service. Probably the best service you will get in any takeaway in dublin. I wouldnt be a fan of the fish in any takeaway and Leo Burdocks is no exception. I ordered the chips and quarter pounder and cheese here last night. The burger was perfect and ready in minutes. The portions you get with the chips are ginormous, with 1 chip probably enough for 2 people. They lose a star for the filty bin outside. I know it's not neccessarily their responsibility, but...
