Burgers with a twist!

(05 September 2011)

I had dinner here for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm dying to go back there. Its a really popular restaurant so you would need to book in advance so to get a table at the weekend. In saying that, its definitely worth it. I had the lamb and goats cheese burger and it was excellent - loads of flavour and cooked to perfection. The portions of fries might not be massive but its enough when combined with everything else. The staff are very friendly and eager to help or offer advice. ... Read more...

This is a very well placed restaurant serving excellent food in the heart of the city. Can get a little cramped for space sometimes but i think it just adds to the atmosphere and you get a real cosmopolitan feel in this place as it being the "place to be". I cant rave about their food enough particularly their eggs benedict. My mouth waters when i think of it. They do a deadly georgous chocolate fudge cake too. Yummmmm... Read more...

My favourite restaurant for breakfast in cork. Their veggie breakfast for €9.95 comes with your choice of eggs which were lovely poached, sourdough toast, and your choice of two sides I got the mushrooms and tomatoes. You also get orange juice and tea/coffee. Overall it was very nice my only disappointment was with the portion of the food...there wasnt enough toast..I like a basket!! The posh toast is also very good for lunch along with their homemade soup. They are often busy at the... Read more...

Unreal for brunch/breakfast. Recomment the eggs benedict or florentine and although I haven't had the panckes, friends of mine have and wont turn back. Think they've dropped the prices lately too and seems very good value. Only downfall is I don't think they open sunday morning...the essential hangover morning one would think. They have excellent quality food and the service at this restaurant is fantastic.... Read more...

Small but fantastic

Although stuck for space, Liberty Grill more than makes up for it with the quality of food on offer. I've been there for breakfast and for dinner and had a great meal every time. You can order coffee by the pot, which gives about 1.5 cups, as well as by the cup which is a major plus in my books. The pancakes are my biggest weakness, served in a traditional American fashion with lashings of syrup! A downside is that the limitations of space mean that if more than 2 buggies arrive it becomes hard... Read more...

Upmarket burger joint

Once you go into Liberty Grill with the understanding that it is not a high class restaurant then you will not be dissapointed. This place is essentially an upmarket fast food restaurant but what it does, it does well, the staff are very friendly and happy to explain the menu and the quality of the food is good and not too pricey. A homemade burger and chips is about €10. I have only ever had lunch there but friends have said the breakfast menu is good.... Read more...
