I have to agree with the other lads on here reviewing. The magic chef is a great chipper. The fish and chips are great, lots of batter and then throw some salt and vinegar on it. Portion sizes are really big so they are definietly worth it. Good selections to with burger and sauages etc. Its a great place to head to after a few beers down the local. Probably the best chipper in the area for me. The staff are always a laugh too, they are bang on sound and chat away to ya as you order.... Read more...

You know I have enjoyed many a bag of chips from the Magic Chef in Stillorgan over the years. After a couple of pints two bags of chips, wrapped separately and eaten from the bag has to be one of life's great pleasures. Strange but I never ever suffer from any form of indigestion when I eat a bag of chips. Even on top of a couple of pints of Guinness. They charge €2.50 here for a bag but you always get a free shovel full thrown on top including a few crispy ones. Not something I eat too... Read more...

My brother and I recently stopped in stillorgan for chips and a burger on the way home from the pub in Blackrock. We saw a car space outside this place so decided to go for it. We both got burger and chips and curry sauce. The prices seemed quite expensive in my opinion but the food was tasty and hot so that was the main thing, service was quick and staff were very friendly... Read more...

This is one of 2 places about 10 seconds walk from each other that serve pretty much exactly the same menu. They offer exactly what you would expect from any chipper, burgers, fish etc etc but I found the quality to be a little sub standard. The staff are pretty sound though and will hand out generous enough portions and the like the food the prices wont kill you. If you can drive to a nicer place (and no - not Mcdonalds!)... The Magic Chef is a nice chipper, it's right across the road from Stillorgan Shopping Centre. There's another chipper a few shops down, called Aprile, so I usually alternate between the two. The Magic Chef is great for lunch too, the prices aren't bad and they do meal deals for lunch so it's pretty popular. ... Read more...

I must say this is one of the best chippers around and there for more years then i care to remember:) The staff are and have always been friendly and polite, the best way to end a night out is in here. The food is always lovely and the portions are a great size. The pizzas and very tasty which isn't always the way when you are buying a pizza in a chipper, make a visit you won't regret it!... I have to disagree with all the other posters, the magic chef, I think, is the second best chipper in stillorgan. They will give you loads of food, but their fish isn't of great quality, and don't go near their pizza. They have a good lunch menu though, and are quite reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food they give you! ... Read more...

I wouldnt actually be amd about chippers, but this has to be one of the best by far! some chippers can be a bit scabby with the chips, but not here! they are great and are quite friendly actually!! the menu changes now and then, but always keeps the staple features, which I love! its quite affordable and i cant see myself popping back in soon! ... this is def a five star chipper. the food is so tasty and not bad greasy either where you feel very unwell after it!the staff are really jolly and its a pleasure to order from them. you get really big portions too compared to other chippers so its extra good value for money. its quite a busy chipper so they certainly are not short of custom thats been well earned! the menu is better than most chippers too with the selection that you can order!... Magic chef has really grown in reputation in the last few years, for a long time when i was younger it wasnt considered a very nice chipper but in the last few years with the introduction of their delivery service and their very friendly staff and great food magic chef has really cemented itself as one of the nicest chippers in the locality if not the south county!!...
