A family fav
(16 October 2011)
by: Tooth Fairy A. 4 out of 5
This is a great shop for christmas shopping, it has everything for all the family. There is a grocery section but i find the food very expensive but nice for a treat. They have a great selection of pre-prepared meals which are sometimes sold as a meal package with a bottle of wine. The clothes section is great for ladies and i wish this section was a little larger. The kids clothes are good qualiity, especially the uniforms which are a good price and survive plenty of wear and tear.... Read more...

Excellent location
(25 September 2011)

Marks & Spencer is a lovely big shop located in the Corrib Shopping Centre near Eyre Square. They have a bit of everything in their shop ranging from clothes to food. Their clothing is actually very fashionable and very cheap making it ideal during these times. I find that they always have a cheaper alternative compared to other bigger brands. They're always great for gifts such as flowers also because they have a lovely range of them. Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful when... Read more...

Marks and Spencers
(02 September 2011)
by: Martha C. 3 out of 5
I love Marks and Spencer but unfortunetly don't get the opportunity to shop there as often as I would like. I find the Per Una range a little old fashioned but every now and again they can surprise. This shop is very small though and wish the gorcery section was alot bigger. The prices of their food range can be a little pricey but for special occassions it really is special. The do very good 3 for 2 offers around Christmas and always have good novelty bits around Halloween and Christmas. ... Read more...

Ok
(12 July 2011)

There was such hoo-ha when this branch of Marks & Spencer opened in Galway. Rumour had it that it would be opened on in the old Supervalu site in the Galway Shopping Center, its a pity it did'nt as this shop is way, way too small. The food hall is down the back, they stock all the usual meal deals, toiletries, treats and off licence that M&S do, but just in smaller quantities. If its the food you're going for, pick your time carefully, as often I find that stock is let run out and... Read more...

Too small
(05 June 2011)
by: Maria S. 3 out of 5
I am a fan of Marks and Spencer and love to get the opportunity to shop there. I love the Per Una range and I always end up buying a few pairs of trousers and jeans beccause I love the fit! The only negative point I have is the fact that the Galway shop is so small -it's such a shame that they are not in a bigger premises even though the location is great. However the fact that there is a branch here is an advantage when you shop in other branches around the country because you don't have to... Read more...

M & S
(24 May 2011)
by: Patrick N. 3 out of 5
This is located in the same centre as Debenhams department store in Eyre Square. There is ample parking spaces available close by. The shop, in my opinion, is a little crowded with clothing. I found it quite hard to dodge between the people and all the cloths racks. They also sell a small selection of groceries here. The menswear section is a good bit smaller than the womens section. Nothing wrong with this place but nothing to exciting either.... Read more...

So so...not great.

The foodhall is very small. I usually very much like Marks and Spencers clothes for children but the selection here is dire. They probably cant stock that much because of the limited size they have. I usually pick up some food there but prefer the big one in Liffey Valley on the way home from trips to Dublin. ALso no bathrooms in the shop itself, you have to go upstairs into another shop, a real pain if you are with small kids.... Read more...

Better to have a small M & S in the city than none at all
(16 April 2011)
by: M. O. 4 out of 5
If you are used to the Branches of M & S in Dublin and Cork then you will certainly consider this one small in comparison. However having said that isn't it better to have a medium size M & S in Galway than none at all?? I love their clothes but then I am that bit older. There does however seem to be a bit of a gap in their clothing going from the childrens to more mature ladies from perhaps 30 upwards. They have so many ready meals that you could dine every day for a month on... Read more...

Food Hall too small
(06 April 2011)
by: Pat G. 2 out of 5
I was thinking of my stomach and i was delighted when I heard that Marks was to arrive in Galway. Ah, its alright. Its not the best, nor the worst. The clothes are rather old-fashioned, in my opinion - and that goes for both adults and children. The food hall really could do with being bigger. It seems to be only half stocked most of the time, depending on the time of the week you're in. I love their chicken pie and also the English Brambley apple pies. Yum. They really could do with expanding... Read more...

Its okay...
(04 April 2011)
by: Amanda M. 2 out of 5
Its only ok. I think the clothes are way too mature for me and a bit boring. I don't like the childrens clothes here, I find them very oldfashioned for toddlers. Food is nice, but you would'nt do your weekly shop in here without re-mortgaging. The selection of food is'nt as good as for example Liffey Valley which is a bit disappointing considering its the only branch of M&S in Galway. ... Read more...

GRAND

I LIKE THE FOOD COURT SECTION AND THE CLOTHING AREA DEFINITELY ADDS A LITTLE SOMETHING TO THE COMPETITION BUT REALLY A POOR SELECTION COMPARED TO THE BIGGER CHAINS IN DUBLIN. MY MUM LOVES IT THOUGH AND ESPECIALLY LIKES THEIR SHIRTS AND TROUSERS. I THINK THE STAFF ARE GOOD, HELPFUL AND HONEST WITH REGARD TO AN OPINION WHEN YOU ASK. ... Read more...

More suited for older crowd
(25 June 2010)
by: S F. 2 out of 5
I don't think I have ever bought anything in this shop except the odd food item. i am in my 20s and I think the clothes are more suited to my mothers age group 40+. It is a small shop when compared to other M&S stores. Dressings rooms are ok size but there can be a wait sometimes. Food section is also small but they do have some nice selections. Could be better if bigger and had bigger selection especially for the 20's 30's age group. ... Read more...
