This restaurant is in an ideal location in Dublin's Temple bar. They do a Great early bird offer, cheaper than any in other cities and when the food arrived -it was service with a smile. Tasty garlic mushrooms with coriander, nachos with everything. The burrito was just the right size too. No desserts but the coffee was a nice size. Fast friendly service. Six hungry women satisfied, good goingyour rant or rave here!... Read more...

I have gone to this restaurant twice with some friends when I was around temple bar. It is in the center of temple bar which is very handy. The early bird menu and the lunch special are great deals especially where the restaurant is. Although the portion size does reflect the price. I like leaving a restaurant very satisfied but I have left still leaving a little hungry. Next time I think I will just pay full price and get a good size dinner because the food is good you just need a little... Read more...

Well I happen to love Mexican and Italian food so to combine the 2 is an absolutley top class idea. What a great place.Staff are lovely.Fantastic atmosphere. The food was absolutely perfectly cooked, I had a gorgeous taco. The prices are great value too.The early bird is only €14 and that includes a starter, main course and a glass of wine. I will definitely be back. ... Read more...

we decided to go here on a rare saturday night in town. i have to say i would not ever go back. we had reserved a table and when we got to the restaurant we were seated right in front of the front door, it was lashing outside and really windy. not nice every time the door opened. i went into the loo and there was 1 girl waiting. literally we could hardly pass eachother it was so small. the food was ok, i actually could make better myself at home, the waitress was like a sulky teenager who... Unbeatable lunch deal

(25 January 2011)

I was tempted in here by the almost unbelievable lunch deal of 8.95 for 2 courses and a glass of wine. Considering that the very cheapest you'd get a glass of wine elsewhere is about four euro, that means you're looking at two courses for a fiver. The food is nothing to write home about, but for the price it's really excellent. The bruschetta starter is the one to go for, then we both had the Mexican Chilli burger, which also comes with fries. One criticism of the lunch menu is that if... Read more...

Brilliant lunchtime special

Mexico to Rome, located in Temple Bar, has a brilliant lunch deal! It is easily one of the best value deals in the city; for €8.95 you get a starter, a main course and a glass of wine/drink. In addition they have a lunch wine offer with a glass of red or white for only €3.00. This brilliant offer runs from Monday to Sunday, and not just for an hour or two but from 12pm to 5pm -you cant not find a chance to go in! While the choice of starter is a bit limited, you have nearly... Read more...

We availed of the early bird menu, which includes a starter + main for €13.95, which is ok value considering the standard of the dishes. I had the garlic mushroom for my starter. The portion was suitable for 2/3 people and taste wise it was a little strong. I had the burrito for my mains, which was again a bit over seasoned. I would go back again as the staff and service was nice but i would try different dishes again. Cocktails are €5 on a Monday too. Note-you may have to squeeze to... Read more...

I really liked this restaurant! While it's quite random to combine mexican, italian and spanish cuisine, it makes for a very interesting menu, and plenty of choice for everyone. Staff are friendly and polite, and apart from some questionable artwork painted on the walls, this is a pretty perfect place for a dinner with significant other, or a group of friends! They have a pretty decent early bird menu too!... My friends and I usually have a couple of problems with personal taste when deciding where to go for a meal. We discovered this place a while back and it has fast become a favourite. It is a lovely restaurant with plenty of room and any time I've been there I have never felt like I'm eating on top of another person, which can so often happen with city centre restaurants. It also happens to encompass my two favourite types of food, Italian and Mexican- yummy! The last time I was here i had a... Read more...

I think this is a really nice restaurant. I love having mexican and italian on the one menu! The restaurant itself is very classy inside and the atmosphere and service are always great. The portion sizes are good and the food is very nice and good value. The lunch menu is 2 courses and coffee for 9 or 10 euro which is great, and you can get early birds as cheap as 11.95 for two courses, plus, free glass of wine if you mention menupages.ie! Nice place to get a bargain.... Read more...

A very central location , and always a good bet for an impromptu meal if one is feeling peckish in Temple Bar. Early bird menus are very well priced, service is prompt and efficient, and there is a decent, affordable wine list. I prefer the 'Italian ' to the ' Mexican ' dishes on offer. Starters , main courses , and desserts are generally tasty, and well presented with quite generous portions. It is not 'gourmet ' food, but it is good food. Restaurant looks attractive from the outside,and... Read more...
