michie sushi
(12 July 2011)
by: Lotty T. 5 out of 5
Michie Sushi is down a laneway just of Ranelagh and the brightly lit sign will draw you down. It’s a small restaurant and they offer a take away and catering services. The food is fantastic, the food is extremely fresh and that is very important with sushi. As others have said the staff are friendly and if you want you can ring up first and they will have your order ready when you arrive.... Read more...

Very good
(07 June 2011)
by: David K. 4 out of 5
I just discovered this place last weekend and I can only speak well of it. A friend of a friend had mentioned its merits previously so I thought I'd pop in and sample it for myself. I purchased a medley of fish coupled with rice and I wasn't disappointed. Very nice. As we were only there to take away, I was impressed with the pleasant staff who without much as much as a word dropped us down some complimentary green tea while we waited. The prices are reasonable for what you get and I'd been... Read more...

Great
(02 April 2011)

Michie Sushi is a Takeaway and Delivery Sushi Shop with a small restaurant, situated down Chelmsford Lane in Ranelagh. Michie Sushi is one of the best places to serve sushi. It has just won a bridgestone award which makes it one of the top 100 restaurants in the country. They also do a delivery service. I have had take away several times from Michie and always been very happy. Their restaurant is small and the Sushi was really big and fresh. Service was great and the staff were so friendly and... Nice

This restaurant is located off the beaten track so to speak as it is down a side street in Ranalagh. I was introduced to it by my friend who thought it was the best sushi she had ever eaten. I enjoyed my meal here too they have a good selection but as with all sushi restaurants the portion sizes are small and some dishes are quite expensive. the service and presentation were excellent.... Best sushi in Dublin?
(27 March 2011)
by: Steve Z. 5 out of 5
Well it's the best I've found. Down an alleyway in Ranelagh, the very friendly staff offer you complimentary green tea while you decide what to get...which should be the delicious miso soup and a range of sushi/sashimi. Everything I had was superb, you can see it being made freshly in the kitchen. The service is excellent and it's not overly expensive. In fact, pretty good value compared to some crap sushi out there. They have a lunchtime special now too for a tenner. Highly recommended. ... Read more...

i got the maki sushi here and it was delicious. even the seaweed wrapping tasted better than any i have had yet in other places. it is nice to be aware of the delivery service they offer to local areas, which although i cannot avail of is a meagre two fifty in delivery charges. the food is most certainly all really fresh and you will be hard done by to find a better place locally that does such delicious food.... Don't judge a place by its appearance!

I admit that the first time I found this place, hidden down an alley in Ranelagh, I thought "dodgy", however, i pressed on and thank god for that. The sushi is fantastic and very good value when compared to paces such as Yo!. The owner Michael is very friendly and tells you to take a seat and sip on some green tea whilst you wait. I highly recommend the Tuna/ Salmon Combo. Delicious! ... Read more...

(15 January 2010)
by: Avril N. 5 out of 5
A few of us from college went here one evening to get some food to takeaway as there was no seating available. Ive since heard the place has been done up and there is now seating. My friend whos from out there introduced us to michie sushi. As there was a few of us we decided to get different things. We got a mixed platter that has a great variety of sushi, grilled salmon sushi and chicken curry. The food was all amazing and it was quickly devoured. ... Read more...

Fantasitc fresh sushi - well worth a drive to Ranelagh!
(09 October 2009)
by: dub girl g. 5 out of 5
I can't rave enough about this place. Found it about 18 months ago whilst looking online for a local sushi restaurant. Now you must understand that this is take away only and is hard to find the 1st time ( its down a narrow lane) but is well worth a try. Think he delivers locally but we live outside his area which is a shame as we would order more otherwise. The fish is so fresh and all made to order - normally takes around 45 mins on a busy night until its ready for collection. Willing... Read more...
