Lovely food

Milanos is a very popular restaurant for myself and my boyfriend. Food here is great and would suit pretty much anyone. Its real italian restaurant selling pizza and pasta. All food is reasonably priced and they regulary have vouchers for half price meals or buy one get one free on their website. The Dundrum branch is usually pretty busy but they have many table to sit at so you are never waiting long.... Read more...

very upmarket type of establishment, trendy and cool with a nice view of the fountains outside dundrum if you get seated upstairs. staff however don't seem to be that bothered with customers, i would say they get a lot of footfall. food there is beautiful but quite pricy if your dining on a budget, love the dough balls with the garlic butter. ... Milano Pizza

(29 September 2011)

Report

by: Dee D. 3 out of 5

We have used this Milano Pizza restaurant in Dundrum a few times. Their pizzas are nice, not the biggest but they do have a nice flavour and when you just want a nicely thin based pizza then Milano are good at that. They also have salads and pasta dishes. The setting in Dundrum is lovely, sit in or outside looking over the water is very nice. Hey have a good variety of starters and mains and we usually go straight into the pizzas, several different toppings including chicken, mushroom, goats... Read more...

Ok but pricey

(01 September 2011)

I find Milanos very pricey. The only time I've used it recently has been with Tesco vouchers which of course bring the price down considerably. Portions of garlic butter with the dough balls seem to have shrunk. Pizzas are good. Service varies a lot. Waiter tends to change during service which is a bit disconcerting because you don;t know whos eye to catch when you want something. I find the tables very close together in dundrum, can be very noisy and unpleasant if there are a lot of... Read more...

Milano's changed their menu and their prices and it is great, the food is delicious. I ordered Pollo Ad Astra pizza and it was both filling ans spicy so I was happy although I did manage to force down a banoffi pie and it did not disappoint! They have seating both inside and outside both are nice their selection of wine is great too. Highly recommended.... Read more...

La Dolce Vita

On a sunny day, with music cascading through the air from the bandstand, and with bags of recently purchased goodies nestling at your feet, what could be better than relaxing al fresco with a glass of red wine and some delicious Italian fayre? The pizzas here are divine, and surpassed only by the boscos salad. I'm not generally a salad kinda guy, but this is a creation straight from heaven - (via Rome I guess). It can be a little slow when it is very busy, but then so is everywhere. ... Read more...

Disappointing

Dropped in for a pizza and a coffee prior to the cinema. Food was lukewarm and bland. Coffee was almost cold. Service was slow and sloppy. In fact service was so slow we didnt have time to complain because we would have missed the cinema. Wont go back. I emailed their site to register my complaint and they didnt even bother to reply.... Good food - terrible service

(25 July 2011)

Report

by: DEIRDRE M. 2 out of 5

I've eaten here several times as it's close to home but always say I'll never go back.....this is because of the service, food is good. Went with a group of friends (seven of us in total) on a Sunday night, restaurant wasn't that busy but service was appaling. Some of us had our main courses whilst others were still waiting on starters! We had to ask several times for drinks and even cutlery. In the end we couldn't bother ordering coffee or desert as the service had been so poor. Won't be in a... Read more...

Very Slow Service

(14 July 2011)

Report

by: Rachel K. 2 out of 5

Food here is great. It caters for all tastes within a family. However, service is terribly terribly slow so do not go here if you are hungry or you have hungry children with you. Even though it is child friendly with the seats, colouring pencils and paper and well stocked changing room, it does not make up for the poor service. Also, we always end up getting pencils that need to be sharpened and the pencils are actually not great. Why not crayons? One good thing is that with the Tesco Clubcard... Read more...

Love the food

This is a place you wont be disapointed by the food. Could be dissapointed by staff, layout of tables, noise. Its a good choice for a pre-party dinner for a big group, because everyone can find something they like, even the fussy ones. Could get very noise though, you kind of have to shout at your partner aand at the end of the dinner you almost loose your voice if you talked too much. Havent met a nice waiter/waitress yet though, all seem a bit angry especially when there is something on... Read more...

Nice food, poor service

(10 June 2011)

Report

by: Mark H. 2 out of 5

I always loved this place and returned regularly for their pizza's. However, recently I had a bad experience with some quite poor service and unfortunately, I will not be returning again. The place was only moderately busy, but it took an age to be seated. The table I was given had yet to be cleared of the previous diners leftovers. when our drinks arrived, my partner's glass was chipped and mine was badly stained. Again, it took quite a length to get fresh drinks, although the food, as always,... Read more...

Its good here. Unfortunately its always busy, but then that is always a good sign. They have a great children's menu for 8 euro. Kids love the doughballs and the included bambinochinos are always a hit. The pizza's are divine but you are not limited to pizza as they have pasta & salads. The staff are great and they work hard as they seem to be run off their feet. I'd recommend their chocolate fudge cake. Prices are good. I'll be back.... Read more...
