good for premature babies

When i gave birth to my second child he was 1 month early and only weighed 4lbs. Mother Care was my bestfriend for the first 3 months because they are the only shop who caters most on small babies great lil clothes for my lil one & good quality of clothes too although i have to admit the price range are abit too much if your a keep on budget mum but all in all mothercare is good... as a first time mum i found the process of choosing a new everyday run-around buggy fairly daunting.... i had done lots of research on the internet buy realised that you really need to see the buggies before choosing what is right for your needs. the staff at mothercard were so helpful, demonstrating how to put the buggy up, its features and how to use them (eg reclining seat etc). i had lots of questions which they patiently answered. a very pleasant shopping experience.... i find mothercare have a fantastic range of clothing for all ages,from prem babies on you will find what you need in here,the stock there own baby bath,shampoos wipes nappies etc,but the only down side for me is there prices i find them a little expensive,esp the clothes,nice to splash out for special occassion though.... I was out at this store last week and I have to say they have a great selection of clothes and products. All their clothing range are really nice and a good price too. They have a fantastic range of early learning products which is great when you are looking for birthday gifts! The only thing I find is that there is never enough staff to help if you have a query.... Read more...

good location but not a great store

what is up with the toliet facilities in this place. have emailed the manager about this twice and still really bad. everytime I go in as currently pregnant toliets are either out of order or filthy dirty... store is also bad for staff attention so many times walking around at the weekend trying to catch someone's attention. ... this is a spacious branch and well laid out but i agree its hard to find a staff member and more so one who knows what theyre talking about which is a shame as its handy to be able to get everything under one roof.also there dosent seem to be a car parking bay for getting your car seat checked or maybe i just havent spotted it.they are very good about returning things, something you tend to do a lot with a new arrival. many times i have not had a receipt as it was a gift but it was not a problem... I like mothercare for childrens clothes. i always get presents for people in here. i ahve always found the staff to be nice and polite and very helpful. thewir sale this year was not as good as i expected. I love their baby products also miother care hads a good name and alot of people recommend them for the purchase of baby products. this shop is usually quiet too.... Read more...

Awful customer service

We bought a cot bed here recently which was delivered to our home yesterday. The courier man refused to bring the two boxes to second floor and was rude and gruf. He also stank of cigeratte smoke. This person represented Mothercare as far as I am concerned. I just rang Mothercare Carrickmines to speak to Manager and complain. Her response has further infuriated me. When I relayed my complaint, her first words were, "we outsource our delivery to DPD so I will give you their number"... Read more...

Good selection, but service is poor

On the 2 or 3 occasions I have been here recently with my wife, you can never find a staff member nearby to help, yet surprisingly the place is full of staff. When we did ask someone a few different questions, we nearly knew more than they did. Good selection of prams and baby accessories so worth a trip for that alone. Babies are expensive:-)... i have being popping in and out of this mothercare for the past 2 years and have to say i have mixed feeling about this branch...i think it all depends on who you meet inside of the store . my first experience was ordering a lovely cot with one of the girls who must have been out the night before because she did nt give a hoot....but placed the order and they swore they d ring me when in stock...i was going to pay there and then.but did nt thank god. any way weeks passed and nothin. rang... Mothercare really is a fantastic place for parents to find all the essentials, from maternity clothing to hospital bag necessities. they stock a huge selection of childrens furniture and pushchairs and i love the quality of their childrens clothes. even better is the brilliant sales they have throughout the year when you can really find yourself a bargain. the staff are really helpful when you need advice and seem to know what they are talking about, not just waffle...... I agree with Christine, there seems to be a huge staff turnover in this shop, so none of the staff seem to know what they're talking about if you ask them a question about a product and generally give off an uninterested vibe. Great store otherwise though, everything is well laid out and generally has a nice, bright, clean feel to it, and free parking is a bonus.... Read more...
