good selection time on kids club

(31 January 2012)

Report

We love to come here for kids club.It has a few selection of movies at a few different times for saturday and sunday which suit us.The other movie places also has kids club but normally very early in the morning. For kids club, everybody pay €3.50 for tickets each and kids combo is €3.50.So it worked out less than €20 for 3 of us which is a good value. However, the tickets counter and pop corn is at the same counter,so if it is busy time, you need to queue for a while.... this cinema located in the dundrum shopping centre is quite big and has many good sized screens. the entry fee is higher than most places and the popcorn etc is pricey but they have student deals also. the seats in this cinema are very plush and spacious so comfort is fantastic. its a handy cinema after a days shopping or if you live the area. its usually busy enough so they must be doing something right..... Sooo Expensive, Poor Customer Service

I dont usually go to the cinema, however me and my partner had a free night so we decided to have a date night to the cinema. Instead of going to our local cinema, we headed to Dundrum, with the intent of eating out there aswell. €50!!!!! for the both of us to watch a movie. I nearly fainted. How 2 tickets, 2 boxes of stale popcorn, 2 flat drinks and a pack of sweets is €50 is beyond me. The staff must hear the remarks we made every day, as when I voiced my disgust at the extortionate... One of the best cinemas

(13 October 2011)

This has to be one of the best Cinemas. The seats are great - big and comfortable and its always very clean. There never seems to be a problem with someones head in your way. The foyer is impressive and very clean and the staff are efficient. They always have a good selection of films on. Like in all cinemas - the food and drink here is way overpriced - so bring your own or its right next to McDonalds where you can get a good coffee at a good price. They do family and special rate prices.... Read more...

We went to see a film in this cinema recently and we really enjoyed it. The cinema is very nice and located in Dundrum Town Centre. The day we were there is was packed so had a bit of a queue. The whole place is very comfortable and the seats and floor most of the time spotless, I have gone into cinemas some times and the floor and seats have been covered in bits of popcorn, I think it gets dropped by people coming in and not being careful. The screens, sound and temperature are always just... Read more...

this is not my favourite cinema but it is top 3! Love how you can pop in when you are out for a days shopping. the last time i went i got some sort of deal with one of the restaurants in the shopping centre which made it a bit cheaper. the prices aren't more expensive than any other cinema but i think they could do more special offers or something but they probably dont because they get the crowd anyway! very clean cinema and comfortable... movies at DD

This to me is one of the best cinemas in dublin... the screens are big the seats are comfy and the staff are really quite lovely. The place is huge and there is an upstairs and down stairs place to buy sweets/popcorn and drinks. The student tickets are good value at 7.50 but i would stay away from the over priced popcorn and drink preferring to go to tesco or kiosk!! ... Read more...

This is a grand place. I normally pop the kids in here while I ramble around the shops. Its pricey but so are all the rest of the cimema's. If I remember correctly they had a special offer during the mid term break last year. Great idea for when you need to get the kids out from under your feet for an hour or two!! Alls good here, clean and staff do their job well!!... Read more...

This is a good place to catch some movies, especially after doing some shopping. It's no more expensive than any of the other cinemas in Dublin. The quality is excellent and the place is very clean. They show all the latest films and even sometimes show an old flick or a less mainstream film. It's a very comfy cinema. I wouldn't head out from town to go but if I was shopping or in the area I would definitely go.... Read more...

Overprices food and drink

(25 July 2011)

Report

by: Glenda B. 3 out of 5

Very good cinema and movie prices are very reasonable so worth a visit for that. However the food and drink is as with all cinemas overprices. My biggest rant is that I ordered an americano coffee, when it was served to me and after I had paid €2.30, I was informed that their coffee machine wasn't working and that I had been served instant, at the same price as an americano. Promptly left the coffee there and got my money back. Will continue to use the cinema but will visit McDonald's... Read more...

Great cinema, in a very convinent location beside the Dundrum shopping center. The cinema has loads of screens so many movies can be played at the same time. The seats are comfortable and booster seats are available for younger children who have trouble seeing. The staff are friendly. My only problem with the cinema is the overpriced food and drink, however this is a problem with most cinemas, and Tesco and other stores are available to buy cheaper food there.... Read more...
