O Grady's !
(23 February 2010)
by: Sarah C. 4 out of 5
I;ve eaten here quite often and the location alone would want you to come back especially if you get a seat beside the window! ( I think that only couples get these!) Anyhow, food is good and service is great! THe only drawback is that it's quite expensive, so it's really only a place we go to for a special occassion! Its a pity that they don't offer an early bird, as I would definately go for that! ... Read more...

Watch the setting sun
(05 January 2010)
by: Emma M. 5 out of 5
Quaint two storied cottage on the piers edge in Bearna. Atmosphere in abundance, added by host attention to detail. Had a table upstairs and we watched the sun go down while we tasted the delights of the sea. Food was exquisite. If you want romance, request a window table and i promise you you will not be disappointed. ... Read more...

golden wedding anniversary
(05 February 2010)
by: miriam m. 4 out of 5
We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary here in Sep 2009. From start to finish it was fab - staff could'nt do enough to make it a memorable evening. Food might be a little expensive but you pay for the quality you are eating. We ate on the top floor and the views are spectacular - would I go there again - defo!!!... Read more...

o gradys restaurant
(28 July 2010)
by: Michael Q. 4 out of 5
last friday I went with my wife and son to o gradys rest. in Barna - i have already posted a review on this restaurant and it only remains for me to say that the food and service were every bit as good on both occasions - My only problem is that there were children and babies present in the restaurant at a late hour 9.00.p.m. We were unfortunate that both parties on either side of us had children in attendance and it took away the full enjoyment of the evening to have to listen to the ' noise... Great Restaurant
(14 September 2010)
by: Treasa B. 5 out of 5
This is a fantastic restaurant in a beautiful setting. It's set just at the end of Barna pier and the restaurant itself is just like walking into somebodies home. Downstairs is particularily lovely especially when they have a big fire on. Upstairs there's plenty more seating with a nicer view over the bay. It's primarily a seafood restaurant but they also do steak's and vegetarian fare. If, in these recessionary times, a night out for dinner isn't on the cards then think of heading here... Read more...

Exceptional
(25 October 2009)
by: Mick G. 5 out of 5
I took my folks for dinner here yesterday and was very impressed with everthing, that it duly deserves it's 5 star rating. There are two levels here and my preference is always for the top floor beside the window, giving you amazing views out over the atlantic. The only hiccup of the evening and possible dissaster was brilliantly handled by the staff. 10 minutes after we sat down, a 15 crew of mothers and daughters decended to a table beside us for their hen! Despite the restaurant being full,... Read more...

Great setting
(25 June 2010)
by: Marie E. 4 out of 5
Loved the setting and the food was nice but as Sarah C says quite expensive considering what you are getting - we had the fish and chips. Perhaps if we went for something else, we might have been more impressed with the dishes. Having said that, I would still return here for the friendly service and the lovely setting.... Read more...

O Gradys-Barna
(03 August 2010)
by: mandatory h. 3 out of 5
O Grady's is located in a beautiful location. Its located on the pier in Barna village..hence the name 'O Gradys on the Pier'. They have a beautiful selection of seafood on their menu. I had a beautiful, fresh salmon and prawn salad. I like to think that they were just farmed down the road, but im not sure really. They have a wide selection on their menu from lamb to beef. Its worth a visit if you are nearby. Deserts are around €6-7.... Read more...

Agree
(14 November 2010)
by: Noel E. 3 out of 5
Had a meal here once and I agree with a number of the above reviews, I too taught there were too many out of control children in the place, parants didnt seem to care what their children got up to, one child nearly brought down a waitress with a load of plates. Apart from that the setting is beautifull, a lovely view of Galway Bay. I found the food good but expensive, not a place I would be going to on a regular basis.... Read more...
