It's a nice one, I've been there for Sex and the City, which was in Screen 1. They probably put SATC in Screen 1 since it seems to be the biggest screen of them all, but the others are ok too. It's clean and never too crowded, or at least at the hours I go for movies, therefore easy to choose a nice seat. And I love the nachos, yum! Not to mention the candies! I'm not sure, but I think the ticket prices are lower before 6 or 7pm (7 euros instead of 9, but not 100% sure). ... Read more...

nice cinema

Have been there a couple of times and intend to go again this weekend for SATC2 :D. I think it's ok, clean, situated right in the food and snack area, so you can grab a bite before - I don't know if they allow you to go in with food and drinks from other shops, or you have to buy their popcorn and stuff. I'd give them a 5, but can't, all the chocolate boxes in the pick and mix candy area were empty - tragedy! They did have some jelly, but me wanted chocolate and there was none. ... Read more...

Great Cinema

The Omniplex is a huge cinema in Mahon Point. There are 13 different screens, with the most comfy and spacious seats! I must say that it is extremely overpriced however, I've been here with my boyfriend many times and you can expect to pay about €30 for two tickets and popcorn and coke, not to mention if it's a 3D movie you must pay about €5 extra per person. Great Experience

Going to the cinema is the 'NEW TING' for me at the moment, and the Mahon Point Exeperience was brill, bright,airy, spacious ticket area, friendly staff, the 3D was amazing, the price is a bit higher than what i expected and would be my only complaint. This cinema is just top class and as everyone has said, easily the best in Cork. With 13 screens they can cater for a wide range of films including 3D and it is always busy there! It is very comfortable and well maintained. Prices aren't cheap for food or tickets but you are paying for the entire experience aren't you..Great food selection though! Easily the best cinema in Cork. However, book tickets in advance because the queues are substantial especially during peak times, from Thursday night to Sunday night, even after films have been out for a few weeks. There's a great choice of food available, haagen dazs ice-cream aswell as all the traditional stuff. As the other reviews have said here its defo the best cinema in Cork. Most weekends its mobbed. The seats are comfy in the cinemas and they have lots of showing of the big shows. I was in there recently though and it was way too hot - I was really uncomfortable with the heat but that was a once off as I have been there loads of time. Its handy to book the cinema tickets online aswell particularly for the big movies as they can be sold out if you just turn up.... Read more...

Good screen 1!

This is the best cinema in Cork! However thats not difficult as most of the other cinemas are now old and dated! However screen one in here is impressive. It is huge, the sound is great and the seats are so comfortable! There are plenty of toilets as well here which makes this cinema so much better than others... you dont have to queue for so long when the movie ends!
