Loved the wings!

(07 April 2012)

Report

by: Derek D. 3 out of 5

We got the chickens wings for 2 to start & they were very good, excellent flavour! The GF had the lasagne which was adequate but small & she likes a big portion! I got the burger which was dry & tasteless. As it was Sunday afternoon there was a band on downstairs & the place really got busy as we were leaving. We were on one of these deals so it was relatively ok value but If I had to pay full price I wouldn't be rushing back, but I might just pop in for the wings!... Read more...

City Deal experience

(08 November 2011)

Report

by: lorraine w. 3 out of 5

This is a regular on the city deals/groupons. Its a restaurant with a warm homely feel to it. They offer both tapas and a full al a carte menu. Food is reasonably priced and the wine list extensive but I feel the food lacks quality and presentation. I don't think the service is particularly great either as we were left waiting a long time to place our order and for our dishes to be cleared between courses. Its ok but I would have other preferences to this restaurant... Read more...

Was here on a busy Friday Night in Dublin City Centre. Immediately shown to a table, we sat down in comfort. A beautiful setting with a big mirror to make sure you're looking alri. Food came promptly after ordering, spaghetti and meatballs was gawjus. Trinity College students get a 15% discount but I forgot to use it and was gutted.com Would go again. Sometimes live bands are playing downstairs after the dinner, as shown in the youtube video.... Read more...

mediocre

Located on suffock st in south city centre you would imagine it would be a hive of activity but often this is not the case. The menu is Italian, offering a selection of Pizza's, lasagne, Chicken, pastas, steaks amongst other dishes. There is a good choice of dishes on the al a carte menu and fairly reasonably priced, and the service is good. However I found the taste mediocre and the restaurant lacks atmosphere. They also offer an early bird menu for €20 per person for 3 courses which is... Read more...

Great lunch

(07 July 2011)

Report

by: P A. 4 out of 5

I have meet up with friends for lunch in here a few times now. Each time I have been in it has been busy, which I take as a good sign. The prices are quite reasonably priced and you get decent portions. The food, though it took it's time in coming which isn't great if you are in a rush., was worth the wait. I love their pasta dishes and panini's. Everytime I have been in the staff have been extremely friendly. I would like to try dinner sometime to see if it is as good as lunch.... Read more...

Pacinos

(02 May 2011)

Had a nice meal in Pacinos for the first time recently. Wasn't overly impressed by the place. Food was good and service was prompt. I found the restaurant very dark and old and there wasnt much of an atmosphere. I couldn't fault the service and the food arrived quickly and tasted good but is nothing to rave about and is nothing that would make me want to return. We had two starters, two mains, two deserts, two soft drinks, two coffees and the cost was €70 so it is fairly reasonable to... Read more...

Ok for food, not if you want to be fed

There are, obviously, as this city is teeming with mediocre eateries, plenty of people who are happy sit back, bask in the run-of-the-mill atmosphere of a place, and feed on the uninspiring produce of a tired, tiresome kitchen. Pacino's, despite the exceptionally friendly service and potentially pleasing decor, fits perfectly, in my opinion, into that unfortunate category. A toasted 'Asian', (is or isn't this an Italien/semi-European themed restaurant?), wrap of avacado, chopped nuts, and... Read more...

I am a big fan of Pacinos but have only ever eaten here at lunch time. Its cheep, cheerful and I just love the exposted brickwork interior. I know thats not everyones cup of tea but it is mine. Pacinos is open from 9am for breakfast and their menu covers a wide range from the Full Irish right to a bowl of porridge. Lunch is my speciality and the menu always has soup and bruschetta for starters, chicken, fish and pasta for mains and biscuit cake for dessert. It fills the gap very nicely,... Read more...

Pacinos

I like Pacinos, the food is good. Nothing too fancy, but reasonably priced and the staff are fantastic. This is an Italian style restaurant , and the menu has a few non-Italian dishes. Their Early Bird menu is especially good for value. They also have a good wine list. They have gift vouchers available but only in €50 denominations. ... Read more...

Better after dark...

This is your standard American-Italian restaurant. The food is fine but won't be winning prizes any time soon. We ordered a starter of garlic mushrooms, which was literally 4 tiny mushrooms and terrible value for money. The pizzas on the other hand were huge - go for the smaller size as there isn't really any difference except in the price. This isn't a bad place on the weekend nights, it turns into a Latin American themed club and has a dancefloor and some decent cocktails, if I was going... Read more...
