Any time I am in Galway I usually pop into Penneys in Eyre Square because its huge and like most of the Penneys stores carries lots and lots of fantastically priced clothes, shoes, jewellery and household items. Located in Eyre Square shopping centre is well laid out and well stocked and a brilliant shop to browse and see what is on offer. Great value, excellent layout. I really love this store since they did it up a couple of years ago. It really needed that brightening up. There is always a big queue but it always moves along very fast. Same with the queue for the fitting rooms, which are also lovely now, much nicer than the old ones, although they can often be a little untidy towards the end of the day. Pennys is just the business. The store is located in the middle of the Eyre Square Shopping Centre and was revamped a number of years ago to give it a better layout and a more modern feel. This had made a huge difference to the pennys shopping experience as its much easier to get around the shop and find what your looking for. The prices are amazing and the styles are up to date. Good but just so busy

This has to be the busiest shop in town! I love Penneys and although this is a really good store in terms of selection its just packed and as a result generally in a mess. If you can travel to Ballina its a much better experience, much bigger store, lovely and relaxed shopping. Still I am a big Penneys fan and this is a good store, perhaps an early morning visit would be best to try and avoid the mad crowds.... Read more...

i am not a big fan of this store it is a huge branch and there are so so many tills but there is a bit of a wait at times also its messy in plaves and not much room for walking through places especially with a buggy i dont think the clothes are good quality and i never am able to find baby boy clothes for 9 to about 18 months for some reason so this puts me off going here also it could do with toilets ... I love shopping at Penneys in Galway since they revamped and modernized it. The store is now well laid out, bright, spacious and airy. A huge improvement on the original Penneys. The store in general is always well stocked and kept clean and tidy. There is always a good selection of everything from clothes to house ware to choose from. Service is always friendly and efficient and best of all the prices are very recession friendly! There's always bargains galore to be found in Penneys - well... Read more...

i love penneys and especially this one, you can find everything what you need in there and when you have a little baby, there is no better place to buy clothes than penneys, everything is so cheap (i love when they have sale on ;), very, very nice and good quality as well and my little one always looks great in all their outfits so why pay more somewhere else when she`s wearing them only for few months anyway :D and of course i can find something for myself as well, it`s just the best shop ever... I love love love Pennys! It is my first port of call everytime I go into town. The quality of the clothes has improved so much you'd be mad to buy anywhere else for triple the price! They are bang on trend and the jewellery is fantastic. Just turn right as you go in the door and be prepared to be dazzled by the sheer quantitiy of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings and every other accessory you can think of. was in this penneys recently for the first time ever and i love it!! it has a massive selection of clothing for everyone, ladies/accessories/mens/childrens etc all equally as good as the next in terms of variety. also it holds a great selection of make-up/tans etc which alot of other penneys do not and of recent times they have been known to stock brillaint cosmetic items like 'prime of your life' and so on... I totally understand why Penney's is rated # 1 of 18 Department Stores in Galway. The store has such a good value for money and the staff are very friendly. Sometimes the store can be a little messy due to excess stock but nevertheless it is definitely my favorite clothes shop in Galway. It's ideally located in the Eyre Square Shopping centre so it's not out of the way or anything. There are other great stores near it too.... Read more...

It is hard beat pennys. This is the first stop I make when I go into Galway. This branch is absolutely mighty. The sell great mens clothing at fantastic prices. This shop is a brillant size and is well stocked. It does get very busy here especially at weekends but I find Sunday a good day to head in here. Staffed well, there are plently of people employed here so that is great too, queues move quick. Cannot say enough good about this shop.... Read more...
