A good pint
(15 November 2011)
by: paul n. 3 out of 5
Peters pub located Johnstons place is the place to go during the day for a nice quite pint. The pub is on the small size but do not let that put you off. The pint here is good and the price is reasonable. The staff are very friendly but experienced as well. They have an outside space with a covering for people who want to smoke. the do a very good toasted sandwich here which goes nicely with a pint. Overall worth a visit if you are in the area.... Read more...

Peters Pub
(26 September 2011)
by: Dee D. 3 out of 5
Had a few drinks recently in Peters Pub located on Williams Place just off Williams Street. This is a nice traditional pub and surprisingly bigger inside than I thought initially. Plenty of tables and chairs to spend a nice comfortable evening having a few drinks. Plenty of bar stools to sit and relax. Lots of old bottles and soda siphons on the shelves above the bar. There's always a good crowd and we dropped into to have a few drinks after a visit to Gaiety up the road. They have bar food and... Read more...

this is an ideal spot to meet up with people if you just looking for a quiet spot to sit and chat. its extremely small so you need to get here early if you want a seat. staff always friendly and service is good.also a nice spot for a quiet drink on a sunday afternoon.good location too as its pretty near to other places to go on to.have tried to go here a couple of times in the past three months but gave up both times as literally not one seat available. pity as i like this spot.... Nice & friendly pub
(19 August 2011)

This is the pub to go to if you want to enjoy a pint after a hards days work. This pub has a very good pint of guinness and it is served up by very good staff who are also very nice which is always a bonus. the pub has a mixture of customers form the young to the old and everybody seems to have a good time here. The atmosphere is very good and the central location in the city makes this an ideal spot for some drinks and a good crack. well worth a visit.... Read more...

Good for a few drinks with friends
(01 February 2011)
by: Angie R. 4 out of 5
This is a real old-style pub and one of the few in the area not to have had a Celtic Tiger makeover, which is a good thing! It's a very relaxed casual place - the kind of pub where you bump into people who know your Dad when you're up at the bar buying a drink. The Guinness is great here and the bar staff are some of the most efficient in town - nowadays it's a miracle to find bar staff who can deal with more than one order at once. It's a favourite of mine - especially for a few daytime drinks.... Read more...

Nicely tucked away despite city centre location; real 'oldeworld'
(24 January 2011)
by: Nigel D. 4 out of 5
Joined someone here for a couple of 'hot whiskies'recently, and was very impressed. Firstly, the whiskies were deliciously well made, bar staff very friendly, and in a way, it is part of a small club of authentic old Dublin pubs. Could imagine that in this cosy intimate olace, a lot of intimate discussions have taken place over the decades! oozing with atmosphere, it is a nice place to while away some time. Didn't try it, but the evening food menu looked good and seemed reasonably priced.... Read more...

Small but cheerful
(13 September 2010)
by: David K. 3 out of 5
I've only been here a couple of times - it works just fine to catch up with a few people for a snifter or two. Personally I find this kind of pub suits some daytime drinks as it's pretty small and can get quite wedged in the evening. They have a makeshift smoking area outside, pretty much on the street, but it seems to work fine. A pint of guinness here was 4.80, which is exorbitant to say the least; which also makes any other draught beverage at least 40 cent dearer - cheaper... Read more...

One of Dublins Originals
(14 July 2010)
by: hugh m. 4 out of 5
Peter's Pub can be found on Johnsons Place just on the corner of Sth William Street. Its always busy particularly at night due to its small size. Its a bit like your living room. It is one of the original pubs on the street. The crowd is mainly 20 - 40 with a good mix of students. No Giant Plasma screens here, justy a haven of conversation. Check it out for a pint on a midweek night or a sat afternoon. One of Dublins original gems.... Read more...
