Amazing Food

(30 January 2012)

Report

by: Laura O. 3 out of 5

I went here for dinner and had high expectations for the food. I was not disappointed. I had the pork belly and it was just delish! Everyone I was with really enjoyed their meal also. The only disappointing thing was when it came to dessert we were informed that we'd have to be off the table by a certain time. It was a little annoying to be told this half way through our meal. I usually don't mind having to give up a table but you generally know this beforehand. I still would have no... Read more...

A lovely restaurant, the food was superb. the welcome was good but the service was very very slow. we had to ask for our mains, dessert and coffees. we weren't offered side orders when the mains arrived so had to order and wait for them while we ate the mains. the food as i said was lovely but i don't think i'd be back.... Hi there, Have been to this restaurant about four times and cannot recommend it highly enough! The interior is relaxing, interesting and the atmosphere is all welcoming. The service is so professional with a nice hint of humour which is always good to make the customer feel at ease! I have always gone for the early bird menu as it is super value. You get to sample all of the courses without actually breaking the bank. The recommend perfect wines to accompany your dishes also. All in all this... Read more...

Excellent Cuisine and Service

(07 July 2011)

A top-class upmarket French culinary establishment -silver service with an informal ambience and 'feel'. Went for lunch and opted for the 2 course lunch special at €20 per head. Food was exceptional - my vegetable risotto starter with cheese and mushroom shavings, and other fresh ingredients, was the best I have ever tasted, and the baked cod was equally exceptional in terms of texture and the mouth watering manner of presentation(and melt-in -the mouth too!).My daughter had the same main... Fab Experience

(06 May 2011)

Phoned up on wednesday and got a table for the saturday for the early bird menu which i believe was 25 per person. You dont get a great deal of food but what you do get is fab. We both had a oven baked cod which melted in your mouth. This was served on a bed of like a risotto but made using orzo a type of pasta. Dessert then was a rhubarb crumble which was lovely. Think you had a choice of 4 or 5 things for each course so there was something for everyone. The decor is lovely especially... Read more...

Finally got a booking for this restuarant and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and I found all of the staff friendly, personable and professional. In this regard my experience was top notch. very enjoyable. Staff had nice wine recommendation. I would definitely go back . but beware - level of garlic very high in steak! You have got to love garlic as it is served with mushrooms a la greque. ... Read more...

I decided to try this place because there was so much hype about it when it first opened. I rang a few times and couldn't get a table it was that busy! Anyway booked well in advance and got in! the place is nicly decorated it is a relaxing atmosphere comfortable but has an up market feel to it. The menu is different to the traditional restaurants but offers something for everyone. the food was delicious, well presented good quality food, really enjoyed my meal here and will be back!... Cafe in front area of Pichet- thumbs up

Often use the cafe section in the front of this restaurant - sells soups, sambos coffees and truly divine cakes. Staff are really friendly, prices are very reasonable and you can have food prepared by top quality chefs for cafe prices. Highly recommend the brownies, biscuits and chocolate biscuit cake - only 1 euro each!! They do take-away too, so if you can't afford the restaurant, try the cafe :)... Read more...

Tasty food

Was taken to Pichet for lunch during the week, we were met by a lady smiling and very welcoming. Decor is beautiful including the chairs alltough mine was a bit unsteady. The food was beautifull but a bit scarce I found the portions very small left me needing an afternoon snack. I have no idea of the cost as I was been treated. The place was nearly full even though it was heading for two p.m. I would like to try it for dinner.... Read more...

I had tried to book this restaurant a good few times, but it seems to book up very quickly so never had any success. Finally we got in for a Wednesday night and I was so impressed. The decor is lovely, great menu and the food was fantastic. The service is really good too. The only issue really is the price - it is quite expensive, but probably worth it at the price. I'd probably try to make it for an early bird again!... Read more...

oh about 6-8months ago i had arranged to meet my friend and her husband for a nice lunch on a saturday afternoon. They are always trying new places and her husband is in the food industry and usually knows all the good places to go and they picked here! I had never even heard of it (even though i later learned that the whole creation of the restaurant was well documented on TV?!?)...........but i have to say that overall i liked it. The food was really good and so was the wine that we had. The... Read more...

Six of us ate here for Sunday lunch last weekend. The good: Location Room Friendly staff Deserts The bad: Average lunch menu selection too fish-centric Mains served too simple (although presented well on the plate) Slow service Nothing stood out about the place - very mediocre experience and could do better. About half full and the wait for starter/main course was far too long. Bill for 1 half carafe rose, 5 starters, 6 mains, 2 deserts, 5 teas/coffees = €196; Per... Read more...
