Q Bar would no longer be my pub of choice. My mother and i were there recently and a barman was quite rude to us when we asked if we could have a glass of wine for the orice stated on the blackboard and he argued us down. Not very impresed.The atmosphere is not brilliant there although there is a lovely cocktail bar in the middle floor.It used to be good back in the day.... Read more...

Gone Downhill

Used to go in here the odd time when in college especially monday nights which were a bit of a laugh and really cheap. Wouldn't be mad on the place now though. It attracts a dodgy crowd and there's always some kind of incident inside and outside the place, Let a really young crowd in and they just get really messy and aggressive on drink and whatever else. I don't know why this is so popular. Bouncers are unfriendly Bar Staff are rude and the customers are all very rough. Nightclub prices at the bar and will someone turn down the music please!! Dublin has some great bars don't go here... Read more...

I really, really dont like this place and reading what others have said it seems to be a common theme. The bouncers must be the most ignorant from any place ive been to. They seem to hate customers, even when its quiet they just love to reject you. The rare times I have got in the place isnt anything special either. No decent drinks offers, music is pretty rubbish and not a good vibe either... Read more...

Gone way downhill

I remember when they used to have a fairly strict policy on the door here and there used to be a great crowd inside. Now there's an incredibly lax door policy, but its prime position at O'Connell Bridge means that it stills gets tourists who spot it walking by. The only real reason to go here now is to stock up on cheap drinks during the week before heading onto somewhere better. It's a pity as I had some great nights in here years ago... Read more...

I rate this club as 'good'# as that is what it is. ...good.. it depends what humour one is in. The risk in Qbar on a friday night is tha the young'uns that fail to get into 21s flock there. They dont check on ID as much as 21s so underaged teens are to be seen. It would not be my first choice on a night out but hell I always have a soft spot for Qbar. I sometimes end up there on a night out and it often prooves to be good craic. Not a hot spot but grand all the same.... Read more...

The Q Bar

I used to go to the Q bar a lot but haven't been in a while. I used to always get food there it was very good. The Bar is over a few floors and can get quite busy at times. The toilets are upstairs and can be very hard to get to if the place is busy. Alot of people go here after work and it is a lively spot. It is very central in the middle of town so a good place to arrange to meet people.... Read more...

i have been here many times over the years!! on a night out it can be good, but generally is not full og the best bunch! they do,however have cheap drinks during the week, so it is a spot that i would drop in for one or 2 drinks during the week!handy location too!... Read more...

I'm not a huge fan of Q Bar.They could do with updating the first floor, where you enter and get your first impressions of the place.During the day, it just seems a bit like a run down pub. Downstairs is much nicer in the evening, for intimcay and the layout in general. As a night club it tends to get packed out .As they say different strokes for different folks , so some may enjoy this place.... Read more...

Q-Bar has one of the easiest locations to get to. You can take any bus into the city centre and walk there. I hate how a bar has such a prime spot and then not take advantage. The club was a bit disappointing, but the bar was nice. On my way home from work I always see that they have drink specials, but still some of them are over priced. Some of my friends love this place others just like it. The mix is pretty 50-50 and I would have to say I am stuck in the middle with them. ... Read more...

lost its shine

When this place first opened a few years back it was really a popular/good place to go it was really seen as a cool/trendy bar with its all glass surrounds, purple lights, fancy cocktail bar and windy staircases. But nowadays I think it has lost its shine! I would say the reason behind it is that they got quite a reputation for being very tough on the door and the prices were extortionate combined with some of the dodgy punters they were getting!
