i rang the helpline and was kept on hold for over 10 minutes. when i finally got through to the customer service agent, i was greeted by a friendly voice which at first i thought was good but soon found out she wasnt very helpful. i asked to change the name on my flight and gave me a ridiculous charge quote and then i asked how much would it cost to change the flight date and i was given another ridiculous quote, i ended up leaving the flight to go to waste because the costs involved to change... Anyone except them
(25 November 2011)
by: Brian W. 2 out of 5
The few times I've flown with Ryanair have been a nightmare. Apart from unfriendly and unhelpful staff, you are treated like cattle and herded onto their flights and forced to scramble for a seat. Even with priority boarding its still a scramble. Added to that having to sit bolt upright for several hours the flight is only made more uncomfortable. Its only when I have no choice that I'll ever fly with Ryanair, other than that is worth paying the extra few euro and sometimes a few less euro... Read more...

good customer service
(02 October 2011)
by: Dee D. 3 out of 5
Ryan air have a very bad name and most people think awful things about them. I find them all right, a bit strict t times on the planes but otherwise find. We only had to us their customer service once to get money back on cancelled flights. Gave all our details once and within a week had our money back, not like some places that say they will do it and don't and then you have to keep chasing them. ... Read more...

Not too bad
(18 September 2011)
by: Sonya C. 3 out of 5
I don't find them too bad actually. They are cheap and get you from A to B which is what they are supposed to do. Ya they charge for everything extra but if you don't like it book with aerlingus which although they don't charge as much administration fees, their flight are more than double the price for the same service. Where else would you get a flight to Europe for less than a bus from Galway to Dublin!!! You could always book for a date where there is no taxes too which is what I do.... Read more...

not child friendly
(18 July 2011)
by: lorraine w. 1 out of 5
I really dislike this airline, from the minute you attempt to book you kow you are making a mistake. By the time you get to the end of the booking process the flight has doubled in price with all the additional charges. I flew to portugal with my sister and baby. My god the problems, firstly one piece of hand luggage, fair enough its clearly stated but a baby changing bag and a handbag hardly equates to the 10kg allowance. No allowance made for travelling with kids, were not allowed to board... Read more...

Flying with Ryanair
(26 April 2011)
by: Chantal S. 2 out of 5
I have flown with Ryanair a few times, I find if you catch the flights online at the right time it is a bargain, the only real problem i have is the baggage, I always carry the same bag the whole time but it really annoyed me when they had no problem letting me on the flight several other times but then decided to say my bag was to big the last time i flied with them even though it was the same bag, i complained to customer services and they simply said " I packed to much" i was very... not helpful

Allthough I don't have a problem with flying Ryanair, I think their customer service is pathetic. I work in travel, so had a lot of dealings with them, but bar a few exceptions, I think they're very unhelpful. If you have a problem, they will do nothing to try sort it out. Sometimes it's like talking to a automated recording, as they're just reading off the rules/ regulations and not actually listening to what you're saying. I absolutely hate dealing with the customer service and will avoid if... Read more...

Terrible
(03 March 2011)
by: Angie R. 2 out of 5
While I'm actually a fan and heavy user of Ryanair and have given them quite a positive rating elsewhere on this site - I have to throw my hands up and say that their customer service is diabolical. The fact that you can only reach them by holding for ages on a premium rate phoneline is a terrible start. Their cabin crew are the most unsmiling bunch I ever met - I don't know why they don't smile - perhaps Eastern Europeans just don't like it. I had a massive argument once when they stowed my... I am a fan
(20 January 2011)
by: Caoimhe M. 4 out of 5
Have to admit I am a fan of Ryanair. I have used them a couple of times for cheap weekends away and only ever once had a minor delay with them. They tell you straight up that any problems are your problem not theirs so I wouldnt even bother to complain. I always travel light when using them so dont have issues with baggage allowance. I would never dream of taking the kids with me on aa Ryanair flight as i know only to well all the complaints they receive so in case things were to go wrong I... Read more...

Disastrous

Doesn't exist. Got trapped in London over the bit of snow that fell and was due to go home on Saturday but told me they had no more flights until Thursday!?! Surely you don't want to leave your passengers stranded!?! They don't help you at all and just repeat themselves on numerous occasions. They're the only airline that can get away with treating their customers like pieces of dirt, I don't know why we all just join together and start a revolution.... Read more...

What Customer Service?!
(03 December 2010)
by: sam s. 1 out of 5
Ryanair should get the award for the worse customer service ever closely followed by some telecommunication companies I shall be mentioning elsewhere! I actually think they probably give their customer service staff quite a lot of training because it's not possible to behave as they do without special training first. But before you get to talk to someone you have to trawl through acres of text on the website to make sure your question isn't answered there already. Then you can try the 0818... Read more...

Terrible
(27 October 2010)
by: Etain F. 1 out of 5
Ryanair basically don't have any customer service. Are you stranded because your flight was cancelled? Had to suddently cancel a flight ticket due to unforseen circumstances? Well tough, that isn't Ryanair's problem, or at least that's the impression they give. Once you buy a ticket for this airline you lose any expectation of customer service.... Read more...
