Saba

Saba in Clarendon Street has been one of many restaurants we have visited and had not been in a while. Passing by recently and managed to get a table, restaurant was busy but not packed. Nice decor and Saba offer Thai/Vietnamese food and the interior of the restaurant has a nice warm look to it and we had the honey chicken wings to start and beef with black pepper, all were very good, there prices are a little expensive but the food and atmosphere make up for that. Nice friendly staff ... Read more...

Great thai food

Great food! I don’t live in Dublin anymore, but when I go back I want a Saba massaman curry first thing. When you order take out you get huge portions. It’s enough for dinner and lunch for me. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly. Normally not difficult to get a table on week nights, but I would make reservations when going in the weekend. Good location in the city if you want to go for drinks somewhere afterwards.. I have to mention the massaman again, it is really... Read more...

Welcome chilli heat!

(17 May 2011)

by: T. M. 4 out of 5

Lunch was a very reasonable 15 euro for 2 courses. My beef-chilli salad had a good amount of heat while maintaining all the fresh flavours, and my dining partner enjoyed a noodle dish that would have fed a family - great value! The restaurant is very big and open - the opposite of cosy - not very romantic but I will remember it if dining with a large group. ... Read more...

What's not to like? Value for money - check, great atmosphere - check, fabulous food - check, great cocktail list - check, service great - check! Yep, it does it all. Always have had a great meal here and I've been here with my husband for a romantic meal, to a night here with the girls for cocktails and food. Either way, its been great fun. Location is really handy too, as lots of great pubs nearby for an after dinner drink. Only disadvantage is its always booked up, so if you want... Read more...

Great restuarant

Went for lunch here with two of my friends a while ago, lunch menu was attractively priced and food was better than I expected, although I did have a look at the evening menu and it seemed a little pricey. We all enjoyed prompt and polite service on this occasion and would recommend it. The only thing i wasn't mad about was the seating, but then the food was so good that this was a minor blip ... This is an excellent restaurant. I met with a group of friends here recently and we had the mose enjoyable evening. I love their yell curry it is so tasty, fresh and delicious. Saba also have a good wine list and they do a great cocktail - a lovely finish to any meal!! The food here is by no means cheap when you include wine etc it all adds up but it is worth it for good quality food and excellent service. Always busy too.... Read more...

Love the Yellow Curry

Really like this place - it's always full, no matter what time or day. The decor is slick and contemporary. The staff are friendly and efficient and appear to enjoy their jobs. Food is excellent and authentic asian. It's a little pricey at night but the lunch and early bird menus are fantastic value. They have a superb yellow curry and the chicken wings are also delicious. Portions are huge - I challenge anyone to manage three courses!... Read more...

One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. I spent a few months travelling around South East Asia and this is one of the few places where the food tastes authentic. It’ s always full, even on a Monday or Tuesday evening and that’s saying something in the current climate. It’s not especially cheap but shouldn’t completely break the bank either and the quality of the food is very consistent. Staff are very friendly and even sit you down and bring you over a drink if... A freind brought me here for much well it was after five, but they still served their lunch menu until 6. With 2 courses for 15.95 and 3 for 19.95 this was excellent value. We both got the three courses and came out absolutely stuffed so maybe next time I will stick to two courses :) I will definitely be returning here again .... Read more...

Yummy early dinner!

We enjoyed a lovely early dinner here the other evening. We were off to the ballet at 7.30 so booked a table for 5.30. Service is quick so probably didn't need the 2 hours but was glad to get there early to take up their special "lunch" menu which runs til 6pm. The offer was 2 course for 15.95 or 3 for 19.95. We both really enjoyed our starters and main which were a decent size. I ordered the sweet potato and corn fritters and Pad Thai for main. I also devoured a yummy cocktail... Read more...
